~*~006~*~ (Accidental Video)
[There is a dark room with lights on. Bright red is seen pacing back and forth in a braid with red cloth of an evening gown and silk robe moving in the slight breeze brought up behind a body in motion.]
How dare he! All he does is show up and near automatically I'm sure he believes that he can just take over again. The nerve...
[Grell pauses where her face shows up some on screen before she moves off the screen.]
I'm certain he'll want to make sure I get back to reaping souls. Funny how there are no souls to reap here.
[There's some shuffling of clothing before-]
Hm? When did this turn on?
[A hand reaches into frame and it goes off.]

Permavid
We are not reaping here. This region is not under our jurisdiction.
Besides, how would I assign you souls to reap when my Death List is decidedly blank? Honestly.

If there is no reaping to be done, then there is no reaping to be done. However, if we should suddenly be required to handle this region, then yes, I will be expecting you to step up to your duties as a reaper.

[ It's starting to click though; that there's no need for their reaping skills here, and with everything being free... does that mean... GASP! no job? He can't wrap his mind around that concept entirely. ]
...Should I even ask what you have been occupying your free time with?

And with the girls... They denied the world lives that could have been precious... Not like you would ever understand.

I apologize for ruining your vacation, then. [ Doesn't sound sorry at all. Just grumpy and stubborn and slightly insulted. ] I will make sure to ignore any future posts you may make.

That is the last memory he has of Grell before arriving here, after all. ]

However since he is new to the place, Grell knows she has to be at least somewhat kind.]
Same to you, William darling.

Let's see how long he can last without Grell's brand of chaos in his life! ]

Grell-san... Are you alright ?
Just... My boss recently arrived... And knowing him he'll find some way of making me work while we're here.

Our bosses must be twins then. Though Tatsumi-san always shows respect towards women.

Well, I am sorry about that. Tsuzuki-san complains about the same thing about me. I guess you two have that in common. [Except for Tsuzuki being a

I would caution you about saying things you wouldn't in public. The SFC tends to surprise us at times.
[ A pause that sounds like an exhale. ]
What was this about souls? Another reaper?
voice; filtered
I'm surprised you didn't know sooner, love. What I am, I mean.
And where I'm from, reapers judge souls basted on their actions during their life. Depending on what we've seen, if they've done good or evil they are sent to heaven or hell. Reapers are pretty much a neutral party when it comes to the affairs of angels and demons.
voice; filtered Okay! Hi! Yes, I'm back! ;;;
[ But he listens on. There's a distinct clink from his side of the line, just from him stirring a cup of coffee. He really should get off the stuff. ]
The duty of a reaper doesn't differ between worlds, it seems. In my country, we call them shinigami, the root words being shin and kami: death god. Not quite so different at all. But as I was saying. I wonder what this means to all of you, however. The lack of permanence in death in Vatheon.
voice; filtered (YAY! You're back! I'm glad you're feeling better)
[She lifts a cup of tea and sips it a little as he speaks. It seems to help her calm down some.]
Well we use an array of tools which, from what I've been reading around here, are primarily used for gardening and pruning. We do so to prune the end of their cinematic record when it comes to the end.
And the lack of death permanence - while an interesting concept - basically means that we get a bit of a vacation while we're here.
voice; kind of. XD;; my glasses are still wrecked.
[ Another pause, just to take a sip from his mug. Caffeine and nicotine. His constant companions. But he listens in silence. ]
I find it rather curious you consider it nothing more than a job considering how many others take death so seriously. However... you mentioned a cinematic record. Is this where humans get the sensation of their life flashing before their eyes at the moment of death?
voice (ish... not fun... >_<)
[She takes another sip of her tea.]
It is as you say. The moment of the life flashing before the eyes is that time where we are ending the life and making judgement.
...okay. Back for real-real. Not for play-play. ;;;
[ Though there's nothing more from that, just a small hum of thought. ]
I believe I've derailed you long enough. About this 'he' you were talking about.
hehe

Perhaps it isn't in his scope of duty. There always happens to be a rather rigid one with each shinigami, now that I think about it.
[ There's a small hum of consideration though. ]
Sutcliff-san. Spare my curiosity? There's something else I wish to ask about your kind.

...would I be correct to assume reapers such as yourself are as self-regenerating as those from my world?
