Video: Assemble, healers of Vatheon!

[As always, where everyone else sees fun and games, Zelda sees trouble waiting to happen. At least she's being proactive about it!]

Is anyone else concerned about these "fishlympics"? It sounds as if the potential for injury is quite high. I wouldn't want to spoil anyone's fun though, so perhaps I should set up on-site medical facilities to deal with any emergencies. Would anyone be interested in joining me?

Erm, I suppose it's magical, yes...

[There really wasn't any other way to describe it, was there?]

I'm actually curious if traditional first aid would be necessary if we have healers here who can perform magic on injuries.

Some people are uncomfortable with magic, and some people may even be immune to it. It's best to have a wide array of options, don't you think?

Oh, yes, true! That didn't cross my mind! [He never imagined people being immune to or uncomfortable with magic.]

And I suppose working a miracle on a small cut would be overkill when a bandage could easily do the trick.

Indeed. May I ask your name? Mine is Zelda.

[She smiles pleasantly at him, not asking about what he means by "working a miracle" just yet. It's possible that's just how he refers to magic, anyway.]

I'm Aziraphale. It's wonderful to meet you Zelda! [And he does look genuinely happy to meet her. He is quite a gentleman, after all.]

It is lovely to meet you as well. May I ask about the limitations of your healing? It seems that everyone's magic is a little different, after all. Some people cannot replenish blood, others cannot regrow limbs... still others cannot mend bone.

[Knowing everyone's limitations? Totally relevant!]

Limitations? Erm...

[Aziraphale thinks about it for a moment, glancing to one side.]

... If you mean limitations to my healing.... none? Well, no, that's not entirely true. I can't bring human beings back to life, not without getting into a load of trouble, but otherwise my healing is limitless.

No limitations other than resurrection? That's quite impressive... does it take a lot of energy out of you? How many healings can you do in a row?

[He can grow back limbs?! Oh, please teach her how!]

[Oh perhaps he's said too much about his abilities? He rubs the back of his head a bit nervously.]

Erm... It really doesn't take any energy, it's just a thought and then it's done. I could, theoretically, do an infinite number in a row, though I've never tried it. My bosses would never allow back in my world, it would raise suspicions.

[Sorry, Zelda, it's not really a thing you can learn, he was born with all of these nifty powers.]

[Hey, she's a goddess! She could probably learn it...]

I see. I suppose that is not a problem here, is it? None of us are exactly normal.

[Yes, he probably said a bit too much. She looks incredibly excited, regal bearing gone and replaced with childish delight. It's apparent that she's actually a teenager, now.]

I would love to see your abilities in practice! Though I do hope that no one gets hurt...

[Oh. Oh no, he's talking to another goddess, he had no idea, why are there so many of you here. In that case, yes, you probably could learn it.

Aziraphale's blushing a bit as he chuckles, feeling kind of bashful.]

Well, it's nothing very wonderful to look at. If the injury or illness is there... when I work a miracle, it's then simply gone.

[Reincarnation/descendant thereof. If she knew how many others like her were here, she'd probably feel a lot less anxious. As it is now, she's constantly worrying about what it is she should be doing. There must be something!]

I'm sure there's some sort of energy flow that can be observed. Things don't simply "happen", after all.

[Zelda, Aziraphale can introduce you to so many gods/goddesses/random mythical beings of power, you have no idea. He attracts them like a magnet.]

Err, well, I reverse things that happen, or rewrite them, essentially make one thing into another... I'm not sure if there would be any sort of energy to be observed. I've never really thought of it...

So it has more to do with time than with healing... in that case, could you cure a genetic condition or other birth defect, or would your magic simply hit a wall since there was not a healthy state to reverse to?

Oh, no, more like... it's a fix. A rewrite? In theory, yes, I could cure birth defects, mental illness...

There are no limitations.

Resurrection is far more complicated, mostly due to the fact that once a soul leaves a body, it isn't my place to call it back.

[Power on that level is divine, isn't it? Zelda purses her lips as she regards the screen.]

Are you a god, sir?

What?! Oh!! No, no no!

[He can see where she got the idea, and he's mentally kicking himself for not being more straightforward, but he's surprised by the assumption none-the-less.]

Err, I'm certainly not a god. You see, I work for Him. I'm an angel... a principality, to be more precise.

[And out come the notes!]

I see. So your powers are based in faith, a conduit between you and your god, and you change reality to accomplish miracles... I believe I understand it now. You must be quite a powerful healer.

[Oh he really has said everything... this is kind of embarrassing, oh dear...]

Err, yes I suppose that's how it works. I try not to perform a great deal of miracles, and certainly not big ones. At least not back in my own world, considering I could get in a load of trouble for stirring up things among human beings. But here, I'm really only hoping to be of some help to those in need.

[There's a reason Zelda knows most of what's happening around Vatheon - she's quite talented at getting people to tell her what she wants to know. Hopefully he doesn't feel too badly for having revealed himself.]

Of course. I'm sure your god would understand. This place is outside the normal flow of time and reality, no one here truly dies - making their time more comfortable is not as disruptive as it could be back in our home worlds.

[She smiles to the feed again.]

[It doesn't bother him all that much... he's been more open with identity here than back at home, simply because there's no real need to be undercover here. He's actually enjoyed his time opening up to and getting to know mortals here.]

So far nothing particularly bad has happened to me, and none of it out of punishment... so I'm sure you're right.

[A small smile crosses his lips.]
