Um, excuse me, would anyone here mind a spar with me? I don't want to hurt anyone but ...I think it's been a while since I last fought someone. I'm a Crystal Eren so that means I'm not a physical fighter...

[After a couple of seconds, Shirley thought about it some more]

Actually, I want to ask, would anyone mind teaching me how to fight using your fists? I think I might need some help training... [And you know, getting ready for the Fishlympics]

I'll promise that I'll teach you about Crystal Erens in return!

Oh no! It's a school and I was hoping to tell more about it when it opens! [oops!]

I'm Shirley Fennes! I look forward to meeting you! [And with that, there was a bit of a giggle before she went straight for the park]

A school? You mean...a place where they teach you all sorts of things? Wow! You're going to open such a thing in Vatheon? [ Yeah, Gracia's super excited. It's hard not to tell. ] How wonderful! I'll look forward to this "school", and I hope I'll be able to attend!

[ She curtsies, though again, the SFC doesn't really show that through voice. ]

My name is Gracia! It's the same for me, I'll see you soon!

Mhmm, they are! I never taught or been to a school before so this is exciting!

And I will!

[With that said, she goes off to the park and waits for her new friend. ...But now came a problem, what did she look like? Oops. Looks like Shirley will have to talk to everyone around the park then!]

[ The same goes for Gracia; she has no idea how Shirley looks like! But then she doesn't think about it, up until she reaches the park and Gracia remembers that she only knows her by voice. So instead of talking to everyone, Gracia scans the area with one hand on her hip and another atop her brow like a visor, and nods in agreement to a silent idea! ]

Shirley! Shout back if you can hear me! This is Gracia, I'm here now!

[ She starts shouting, her hands cupped around her mouth for emphasis on the loud. She repeats this four more times until she stops and smiles, waiting for an answer.

LMAO so effective... ]

[Well, there's no need to Shirley to ask a bunch of people then! There was a small chuckle as she walked over to Gracia.]

Um...I'm here? You scared me for a moment when you shouted!

[ Gracia approaches Shirley, and curtsies slightly to the side, her smile still wide and cheery! ]

I did? I'm sorry, I didn't mean to! But I'm glad you're here now. It's wonderful to meet face to face!

[ She claps her hands once and turns around. ]

Shall we begin? I'll do the best that I can to help you out, Shirley!

Mhmm, we will!

Um...should we start now?

[ Gracia turns back to Shirley and nods. ]

Yes! Let's find an empty space to practice. I think I know just the place. Come, follow me! [ She walks towards a shaded clearing by the lake, where only the ducks are feeding, and waits for Shirley to follow. When they arrive, Gracia begins to stretch. ]

You should do this too, so we're both prepared for the training! That's always the first step, as Father says; warm-up your body! [ Arm behind her neck; a little stretch to the side...! ]

[With that, Shirley followed Gracia and was doing stretches as well!]

I-It's been a while since I actually done some stretches! I think the last time I did some was...a year and a half ago?

[ She finishes her warm-up and helps Shirley by holding up one arm over her head, and the other arm to her side. STREEEEEEEEETCH ~ ]

That is a very long time...! But it's okay, we'll still be able to train!

[ She steps back and puts her hands on her hips. ] Let's start! [ Now how to begin this? If she was her Father, what would he usually ask...? ]

[ AHA! ]

How much do you know about fighting, Shirley?

Um...I know the basics of it but I'm just not sure how to fight physically. I know that you shouldn't get too close to them and that when they are casting spells, that's when I should be careful. I need to guard and quickly run away!

[ She nods. ] That's a good start!

[ Gracia approaches her and stands by Shirley's side. ] But if you're going to fight with your fists, you have to get close to them. Otherwise, you might miss, and the enemy will find the opportunity to attack you.

[ She stands with her feet apart, knees slightly bent. Her arms are up above her, one positioned behind her head, hand in a fist, and the other by her side. It's her default fighting stance, and Gracia looks at Shirley, signalling her to follow. ]

Do you have any spells that can be used up close? Having one of those helps!

[Once Shirley mimics what Gracia has done, she almost trips forward. This was certainly something she wasn't use to. Is this what Senel had to go through? It doesn't help that Shirley's wearing a skirt right now either...]

Um, not really? Although I have two spells that can be casted a lot quicker. I think they should count?

[ Gracia stands straight, out of her fighting stance, and helps Shirley steady herself. She smiles as she positions her hands and her legs with a nudge here and there. ]

You should take a deep breath and hold it in your stomach, your core, right here. [ She gently pats Shirley's abdominal area. ] It helps keep balance!

[ Gracia resumes her stance and watches how Shirley does on her own, before moving on. ] How fast can you cast them? What do they do?

[In the middle of her stance, Shirley tried keep her breath in her stomach. It wasn't difficult but it does help her understand how Senel fights now.] Like that?

[Once she does, she continues talking] Well, it depends on what the spell is. If it's fire wall or Grave, I think I can cast really quickly. Anything else might take some time.

[ She nods happily! Maybe she has a chance to be a good teacher like her Father after all! ] Yes, exactly like that! Whenever you're feeling unsteady, keep your breath in your core and you should be just fine. Once you get used to it, it'll be as easy as breathing normally.

[ Hmm...Gracia stands still once more and purses her lips in thought. After a few moments, she opens her right hand, palm facing upwards, and allows her musou to flow. In a split-second, a bright flame erupts from her hand. It dances shakily against the calm breeze. ]

Fire Wall and Grave -- do you mean you can cast them as fast as I did this? [ She feels herself grow excited, curious, and intrigued! ] They sound so interesting...

[Shirley continued to breath slowly bit by bit as she was trying to breath from her center.

However, for a split second, she stopped breathing from the sudden fire that appeared on her hand.]

Um, yes, I am able to cast them as fast as you can but I would need some distance if anything should happen. [And then there was a pause] Although I never knew you could do the same thing, Gracia.

[ She tilts her head slightly to the side. ]

Are Crystal...Crystal Errands? The same as musou? Battle magic? [ LMAO wrong pronunciation, sorry Shirley she's bad at big words XD ]

Kind of! [Ahaha..ha..ha...]

Although most of my magic is healing but in a sense, some Cystal Erens do have some magic intended for battle!

[ Oh man, that's gotten her distracted somewhat from the training and stances...Her eyes grow wide as she approaches Shirley even closer, perhaps violating a teeny bit of her personal space. Ahahaha. ]

Who can it heal? Others? Or just yourself?

[ahgpa taking a step back jussst a bit]

Ah, it can heal anyone! You, me, anyone who gets hurt! It's just that simple!

I-I'm not sure how I can do that? I mean, I'm so use to healing myself and others that I'm not sure how I can teach you? [It's just second nature to her] I guess I can teach you the basic of crystal eres artes so we can go from there?

[ She nods enthusiastically, and resumes her position next to Shirley. ]

Ooh, a wonderful idea! I can't wait to learn this "crystal rares!" I hope I'll be good at it. You must be amazing at this kind of magic to be able to teach it to other people!

I can teach you right now if you want!

Although, it is something you're born with but I'll try my best!
