action for larmline apartments + video + lots of bombs
[ when you haven't seen someone for a while, it's only natural to check up on them— especially if they're your roommate. of course, he checks the sfc's contact list first and foremost, noticing that she had indeed left the place without creating a further hassle. it'd be a lie if he said he wasn't irritated, since she was both the most reliable and unreliable person he could count on here; they'd formed a good relationship of using one another, after all. thoughts and feelings aside, he's curious just how much of her had left vatheon— to be more specific, whether any of her personal items she'd had on her (bombs......) would've remained. he definitely isn't going to hesitate to gain any kind of feedback on vatheon; plus, well, bombs...
unfortunately, once he reaches her room he realizes that minene had locked her door— which meant that she likely had disappeared the night or so prior, and had been inside of the room at the time. this isn't really a problem for him, since he's a detective and has broken into places before— getting into minene's old room wouldn't be too difficult; it wasn't like the locks in vatheon were high-tech, either. after slipping his fingers into his jacket's pocket for a moment, he's equipped with what seems to be an id card of sorts. though vatheon's locks, as mentioned, weren't high-tech— he'll be sliding this card through the crack of the door, jamming it against the latch in a single, swift movement.
the door creaks open easily enough afterwards— although he doesn't enter immediately; instead opting to stand there looking somewhat spaced out for a few moments as though he had noticed something else more interesting. blinking— once, twice... a h.....
the lack of motion is soon replaced by rapid movement, and any residents situated within the larmline apartments will be greeted this morning by the loud, disruptive effect of an explosion on the fifth floor. it's a very impressive explosion, and cleanly destroys half of his own apartment—
which, unfortunately, was not surprising from one of minene's bombs...
WHAT A KAWAII MORNING. ]
[ —when the feed turns on, smoke and debris is very noticeable. if you live near larmline, you might've heard the loud sound just prior to the broadcast— or maybe even felt the area shaking a little, had you been that close. either way, something just blew up, and it happened just now.
he appears to be broadcasting from inside of an apartment— although a lot more natural sunlight than an open window should be projecting was evident in the feed. the dust that still hadn't settled reflected off the rays greatly, making for a visually poor feed— although some "accident" was apparent enough.
he's holding his own white sleeve closely against his face when he finally speaks, eyes slightly squinted because yes, debris and sunlight everywhere... ]
My er-.. [ how does he classify her even.. friend? nah, he doesn't want to be bundled in with her after this— ] acquaintance happened to affix quite a few locations in Vatheon with very destructive, technical bombs. She had an affinity for controlling them herself, but now that she's left.. [ -well... now she isn't controlling them. simple enough. ]
They're highly sensitive as of now and will activate immediately should you enter one's perimeter. I'd suggest fleeing the area as soon as possible should you hear some sort of distinct ticking noise... [ a cough— ugh, this is a mess... ]
That's all. [ click. ]
[ ooc: so yeah, there are bombs in certain areas of vatheon should you like to run into any of them on your own or attempt to dismantle one yourself—
bombtossing placed bombs in the following areas during her stay in vatheon:
- concealed on the hallway ceiling of floor #4 of the larmline apartments; far end of the hall.
- near the coral— won't damage vatheon at all though, since the coral is indestructible and reflects attacks. the blast might be a bit magnified due to that, however.
- cave complex near the former church site.
- some lamp post in the upper district of the city.
damages to vatheon won't be heavy at all should they be activated, and the npc brad will fix it all up within a day or so, anyway. ]
