[Video/action] Wherein she visits the library

[She had heard rumors of this place, she was pretty sure that someone had even told her about it earlier, back when she was less acclimated to this undersea world. She had been walking, still growing used to being around a large group of people, when her nose had caught scent, of all things, paper; large quantities too. Having spoken to the librarian and finding out exactly the place was, she decides to call Signless in a bout of giddiness. Still not that adept with the comm, she manages to send it broadcast instead.]

[Disciples excited face appears in the video, clearly something very good has happened by the smile on her face. Finally finding words, she speaks.]

SIGNLESS! THIS PLACE HAS BOOKS! FOR FREE!

[She is immediately hushed by someone off-screen. Looking in direction of the voice she apologizes, but continues at a slightly quieter tone.]

They said I could borrow some to read, and then can return for more later! Isn't that amazing!?

[Most of his recipes actually come from tv shows --troll and otherwise-- and the idea of recipe books is kinda magical.]

Yeah! with instructions and everything. I paged through one quickly. These things have like hundreds of recipes, and there is an entire section devoted to them. I think you should stop by and check it out.

[The chances that Gamzee will remember all on his own to take those back are pretty nihil, after all.]

Of course, they just want you to make sure you bring it back after the allotted time. [That is when she remembers who exactly she is talking to.]

Though... if you wanted to you could come here to copy recipes down. They have supplies for such things. That way you can take the recipe and keep it, without having to give it back. So you can keep the ones you really like.

[He ponders it all for a moment.

Then he spends a few more moments staring at his reflection in the SFC screen before he snaps back to attention.]

Hmmm, you seen anything what you dig?

Not as of yet, I have had some good suggestions, though. Mostly for now I want to learn about the other cultures. Though sometimes that can best be done through reading their more entertaining literary works.

[She liked Gamzee, she was even starting to get used to his manner of speaking... somehow. But she was quickly realizing how unlikely it may be that he would find his way down here to get recipes.]

Would you like it if I got some recipes for you? I could...[she glances over at a section set up against the far wall] 'photo-copy' some from one of the recipe books, if you would like.

You'd do that for a motherfucker? Hey, how about you alls pick some shit what most be of the motherfuckin' appeal to you, and I'll cook you that stuff up, no problem.

[Well, maybe a problem. He is not a flawless cook after all. But it would be cool to try out more new things. And if he has someone else to make it for, he does tend to pay a little more attention to the baking process. And keeps from deviating from the recipe in truly odd ways.]

[From her experience he was a decent cook. It seemed like a decent trade-off, all things considered.]

Yes, of course. I shall see what sort of recipes they have that look interesting. [Maybe some other variation of cupcakes...] Are there any sort of recipes in particular you want me to keep my eyes open for?

[He ponders for a moment.]

How about some fish stuff?

[There should be plenty of that here in Vatheon, but as a kid that grew up next to the sea, fishy foods are simply something very uniquely homely and comforting to him.]

Fish, got it. [The video feed shows her walking through the stacks, finally it looks like she finds what she wants. Looking over the spines she offers a wry laugh.] It seemed like almost half the cookbooks are about fish in some way, shape, or form. I do not think I will have any trouble finding something in them.

The sweets, too, just not as many options. I do think I see a couple of the books that may have what we need. Uhhh, lets see... 'Thyme for Dessert', 'Cakes to die for', and 'The Pastry Bible.' [Wait, bible. Didn't Signless suggest a book with that name?] I'll take a look see here in a bit, and see what sort of delicious recipes I can find for you.

[Gamzee looks pretty happy at that. Touched at the effort and sort of excited at the idea of getting new recipes to try.]

Hey, like you think you could all be findin' one what be on cookin' what with that fuckin' vegetable shit? And just that.

[He lives with a couple of vegetarians.]

[She takes a second to scan through the rest of the cooking section. Eventually she discovers a series of vegetarian friendly cookbooks.]

I have found a couple that look promising. 'How to cook Everything Vegetarian', 'The Vegan Lunchbox', huh... 'The Vegetarian Cookbook'. That last one seems promising. [She laughs.]

I'll see about copying some of the recipes for you. I will look for ones that look especially delicious.
