[Well, this is supposed to be a video. Supposed to be. Except that it's utterly pitch dark.

There's a lot of rustling and silence, but soon enough a very frightened voice comes out from the darkness.]

... he... hello... ? Is it working... please be working... I--... the power went out and...

... I'm trapped in the elevator...

I... it's at the bottom, however... the doors seem to be stuck and refuse to open...

[Poor Ioder. He's not normally afraid of the dark, but this is a terribly frightening situation to wind up in.]

It appears to be a mass power outage. Cause still under investigation. Now, if you'll excuse me.

[There's nothing much to do in terms of preparation, and Tech wastes no time in making his way to the elevator. The trip takes some ten minutes from his apartment. Ten dark, still minutes. At his arrival, he raps twice against the exterior doors.]

[There's a rather loud cry of surprise from inside the elevator, but after a quiet pause Ioder calls out.]

... i... is some one there...?

Still in there? We spoke on the network.

Oh... yes, yes, I'm still here...

Okay. If you'll just stand back from the doors...

[Jade stayed on the line with Ioder, a small ball of light illuminating his face as he went. He got to the elevator and frowned a bit, looking around. If anything, he could temporarily charge the lift enough to open the doors for a second or two.]

When I tell you, run out the doors. I can open them, but I don't know if they'll spring shut afterwards.

A... alright...

Ioder has his concerns about this, but he doesn't have many other options currently. He moves back a little, waiting for the doors to open.]

[Jade was just going on what he thought would work. Guy was better with fon machines but he wasn't here and Jade wasn't one to let people die in elevators.

He moved one hand, a fonic glyph forming itself before he sent a jolt of electricity into the pad, the Elevator doors slowly rolled open and stuck there even after Jade had ceased the sparks.]

Well, that's not too bad, then.

[He moved his head to look inside to where Ioder was.]

Come on, before it decides to eat you~

[Those wide eyes are a sign that getting "eaten" by the elevator was a genuine concern.

He stumbles out quickly, looking back at the open doors like a child trying to convince himself that the closet is just a closet and not a monster lying in wait. After a moment he puts a hand to his chest and sighs.]

No problem, though the blackout is a concern. Things have been getting more and more odd.

I've noticed that as well... though this is the first time something has affected me directly in recent months...
