[As the video feed starts there's not much to see, just a small hand and what looks like a white background. But then that hand pulls away, that white background shifts and you can now see the left half of a young boy's face. The right half is obscured by long, blond hair but anyone familiar with a certain vampire would definitely notice the similarities, despite the utter exhaustion and chapped lips that are plain to see on this little one.

Fai's eyes narrowly open, yet they close again swiftly as he glimpses the light coming from the SFC's screen. The hand closest to the device shoves it away before he curls up more into himself. Even though he's no longer surrounded by snow he feels chilled to the bone- the wet shift and drenched floor-length hair clinging to him were certainly not helping. Something felt wrong about all of this... was he supposed to be here? He had no will or energy to push himself off the ground of the plaza. All he wanted to do was rest. Why wouldn't that light go away?]

[Fai is lounging around, being lazy on the couch in the apartment when his SFC suddenly clicks on. He looks over and reaches out to pick it up, sitting up at the same time. The image that is revealed to him makes him drop the device as his golden eye widens in shock.

It clatters to the floor and he sits there is stunned silence for a moment.]

[He hesitates. Afraid that perhaps the image on that device was just a mirage. That the face of his past is not actually what he has just seen. With a gulp, he hesitantly reaches down and picks up the device, hands shaking..as well as the rest of his body.

He stares at that face, unable to form any words. Unable to believe his eyes. He knows he must respond though. He knows this isn't just a reflection of himself. He knows that this really is his brother that he sees before him.]

Fai...[The name he has adopted. A name he took to honor his brother's memory. Now the owner of that name is right there. He knew this world has the ability to bring back the dead..something even he couldn't accomplish. But never would have have expected this.]

Fai...[It's all he can say at the moment as guilt washes over him as well as many other emotions.]

[He forces his eyes open once more, grumbling, but willing to put up with the brightness because he could have sworn he heard something very, very important. The only voice that had mattered.]

...Yuui?

[That name..a name he hasn't been called in many many years. He closes that golden eye and draws in a very shaky breath. He needs to stay calm. He's always done so well to keep his emotions and insecurities hidden. This is the time when he needs to appear strong.

He opens that eye very slowly and spreads a smile across his face, as if he could use that to apologize for all the wrong he has caused in his lifetime.]

Yes..It's okay now. You're safe.

Safe? I don't understand...

[The poor kid can't focus his eyes enough to see what's on the screen well, so that false smile is safe for now. Lifting his head seems an impossible task, but he does his best to roll his head around so he can look for his brother.]

Where are you?

I'm..at what will be our home. But I need to find where you are so I can bring you here as well. [Fai stands, suddenly feeling very determined that he must move and find his brother..even though his body is still recovering from the initial shock. His steps might be a little unsteady as he heads towards the door.]

[Darkleer keeps his voice quiet and low, reassuring as best he can in his own way.]

Hello there. Can you hear me?

[None of this is really making any sense to Fai. How can he hear his twin if they're not in the same place? Where is the place that he's talking about? He's still very tired and trying to stay this alert is only making things more difficult. However, the little one refused to fall asleep before seeing his brother again.]

Come soon... ok?

I'm going to need your help. There is a device next to you that is letting out light. See if you can't find a button to push that might give me a signal to where you are.

[Fai doesn't understand why it is so dark everywhere but he heads out. He activates his vampire senses, hoping his sense of smell and his overall sense of his brother might help guide him.]

[He wasn't expecting to hear anybody else after how long he spent in that terrible valley, so when he starts it's in honest surprise. Is there someone actually there? He opens his eyes slowly. There's no one in sight, but he knows what he heard.]

...Hello?

[Oh goodness, you're asking him to move? That is something he really doesn't want to do right now. But if it will help Yuui find him Fai's willing to push himself a little.

He extends the closest hand towards that annoying light and gets a better feel of it for the first time. Is it star shaped? After another moment or two his fingers finally find something that gives way when he presses on it.]

Did that do anything?

Hello. My name is Darkleer. Do you see the star-shaped object near you? That's how I'm talking to you.

[Best to keep it slow for now. Considering the variety of places Vatheon brings, he knows that not everyone is familiar with the technology that is used here.]

[And Fai is off like a shot.]

Yes..now just wait for me. I'll be there soon.

[He's going to be running as fast as he can..there is a fear that his brother might disappear before he gets there.]

[Slow is good. The kid knows practically nothing about technology, his world relies mostly on magic. Is this star-thing really able to carry different voices in it? He pulls it closer, eyes squinting from the light.]

Fai. My name is Fai.

It is nice to meet you, Fai. Do you need any help?

I can wait.

[Fai knew he was good at that. He won't disappear. Yet his eyes are starting to close again and he might not be awake if Yuui takes too long. He wants to curl up even more tightly to fight the chill setting in but it's just not possible. Trying simply makes him ache.]

Yuui said he's coming for me.

[It's the best thing he can think to say. The more time he spends lying there, the more he's pretty sure he shouldn't be there at all. You don't need help when you don't exist. But if the cold and the exhaustion is proof of anything it's that he is somehow alive, right?]

He didn't say how long. But he'll come.

So you have someone coming for you?

[That's good, then. Saves a lot of trouble.]

Some people aren't so lucky. I hope he comes there soon. Do you want me to talk to you until he gets there?

Hello? Are you alright?

_{[There is one winged Gear looking at you with worry.]}

My brother.

[Fai says it with a weak nod and a smile on his face. Just the thought of seeing his twin again was an uplifting one. Wait... did Darkleer just offer to keep talking to him? He wasn't expecting that either. Nobody wanted to speak to him at home if they could help it. He wasn't sure what they would talk about, but if it helped him stay awake he'd do anything.]

Please?

I... I'll be okay.

[At this point he's been told his twin is coming for him, and he's pretty certain all he needs is a good sleep. It's the only thing his body wants right now. Fai rubs at his eyes to try and keep that drive away. Maybe his tiredness is why the shape of whoever is talking to him looks so odd.]

Alright.

You're in a place called Vatheon. It is city under the ocean that brings together many different people from other worlds. I am from somewhere called Alternia, for example.

That is why I said it is good someone you care for is here already. It can be very confusing for newcomers to the city.

[Have a very shocked death god staring at you. He knows vampire Fai quite well, though they have drifted apart a bit lately. But he cares enough about his vampire friend to open communication with this particular new arrival.

Unfortunately, he seems to have lost his eloquence.] Uh... Fai-san?

[Wow, that is a lot of information to take in at one time. He's going to focus on the first part and work his way through the rest of it later. His head moves slightly, like he's trying to tilt it though he's still laying down.]

How can it be underwater? Is it magic?
