[Nasuti is sitting in her new apartment, wiping off what appears to be fairy remains off of her face and neck. She appears to be concerned, but much calmer than the majority of residents that have witnessed the apparent self-destruction of these Vatheon mainstays.]

Somehow, I was under the impression that these fairies served some crucial purpose. Helping us breathe in a place with limited oxygen, perhaps, or withstand the pressure of being underneath sea level.

I see that such is not the case. But they served some sort of purpose, didn't they? Has anyone noticed anything...different since this occurred?

I believe their purpose was to observe us. Their fate indicates trouble with those in charge, in my opinion.

Observe us...our health status, perhaps?

Perhaps. I don't think they were necessary to keep people alive here, though. After all, the locals do not have such a thing following them.

How peculiar...[Snorts a laugh.] It seems the longer I'm here, the more questions I have about this place.

[Zelda lets out an irritated sigh.]

Hopefully, this event will work in our favor and we can study Vatheon more thoroughly without people showing up to discourage it.

Supposedly, investigations have been halted before by the locals. If the faeries were a method of observation, though, they might not be so quick to interrupt.

For now, though, I think I shall see what happens.

How is that...clone you mentioned being handled?

People more skilled than I are caring for him. He seems more peaceful now. I would not be adverse to such a meeting, but I do not actually know all that much firsthand - much of what I have learned I gleaned from reading open posts on the network.

I see. Are such posts archived in any way? [This would be good to know either way, considering the project she may be undertaking soon.]

There is currently no archival of the information that the foreigners have learned available on the network, only bits and pieces here and there. It takes a great deal of digging to uncover it all, but that may be for the best. I attempted to gather it all when I first arrived, but I was advised that it might be a bad idea for it to all be readily available.

...would you...be willing to share it? There may be clues and, well...[Unabashed smile.] I'm a bit of a historian.

[Arriving at the coordinates Zelda provided, Nasuti hesitated. She was prone to taking on more than she could chew before--was this archive of the events of this place more than what she could chew..?

Nevermind. She was bored, and this was a far better thing to set her mind to than some of the other options around here.

Standing upon the doorstep, Nasuti hesitated for a moment, and then knocked softly on the door.]

[Having just finished preparing some tea, it took Zelda a minute to get to the door. She smiles pleasantly when she opens it.]

Hello. Please, come on in.

[She holds the door open and steps to the side.]

[Nasuti feels compelled to return the smile, and nods appreciatively when she is invited in.]

Thank you so much. I apologize for the intrusion.

[Stepping inside, she pauses, taking a look around. There was little to be determined from simply standing in the doorway.]

Oh, I don't think I got a chance to introduce myself..?

I'm assuming they had some reason to be there, but I can't say I ever noticed them doing much of anything.

They've been very good at remaining inconspicuous, haven't they?

Well, at least, they were good at masking whatever they were supposed to accomplish. I wouldn't say they were always the most inconspicuous things.

Did they exhibit any sort of behavior? Or were they just...'there', akin to fireflies or the like?

Your second guess is more accurate. At least, in my experience, anyway. Other people might have noticed them doing more, but it never really crossed my mind to ask before now.

Has anyone else been able to give more insight? I'm sure there are people that have been here longer and might've remembered the fairies doing more than just floating around.

[She shakes her head.]

I would've hoped that they would have responded here, in that case.

If it was doing something, it wasn't anything I've noticed.

[Scorponok appears to be swiping fairy guts off his chest, not seeming exactly bothered by the explosion.]

Did you have a means to monitor them? Honestly, I often forgot they were even there.

Well, It's not like I've been here long, It's not exactly easy to forget the little buggers.

Were they usually well within your line of sight? Did they pester you?

It was a floating object that stayed fairly close, and my radar pinged off it constantly.

I really couldn't ignore it.

And it stood up to any sort of resistance you could throw at it? Or did you just give up after a while?

[Ky took a shower and changed before responding, because he simply observed some of the other responses for a while and there doesn't seem to be anything that anyone can take immediate action on. Now that he has done that it's time to start discussing the issue.]

There's no reason to believe that if they did serve a purpose it was a benevolent one.

Do you think they were doing something more dubious?

I have no knowledge either way, but I wouldn't assume that they were here to help us.

[Ky's suspicious of the supernatural when not a part of the religious canon, as well as of the genetically engineered.]

[This fellow seems to be a fellow skeptic. Nasuti can appreciate that.]

When did you first notice yours being at your side? Have you been monitoring its activity? Did it ever leave your side?

It's been here since I was.

And I didn't notice it doing much, beyond observing.

Never tried to get rid of it yourself?

Not aggressively, or successfully, although I did ask it to leave and try to shoo it away.

And it would just dodge your moves, I take it?

Do you think they weren't natural?

Probably. The devil's work, or technology, or magic, I don't know. But I don't think they had will of their own.

So they were servants of a greater power?

It seems to me like it was that way.

Let me guess; no one knows what that greater power is.

If they do, they're not sharing that information.
