[At first, the feed is black, as the video hasn’t been turned on, so there’s nothing but laughter—rather hollow laughter at that. It starts off quiet, but gradually increases in volume—]

Hahaha—!

[He’s probably sounding a tad crazy, before his laugh dies down and in its place are the sounds of movement. Many will probably recognize the sounds of fighting, albeit a very one-sided fight, with the noise of something splattering across the ground. For a moment afterwards, there’s silence, and then—well, you’re probably better off not identifying the sounds.

And then, once more, everything is quiet, save for something that’s either crying or more laughter. That lasts for a few seconds, before there’s the sound of movement again—a jump, to be precise. Another few moments pass, and then the video feed finally turns on—]

Well, everyone.

[Standing on the roof of a building, Tiir smiles bitterly, his eyes still glowing a faint red. He then wipes the blood off his mouth with his sleeve, though specks still remain on his face.]

I hope you’re all having a good day.

[Minato—

And with that, the feed clicks off.]

[He recognizes the area Tiir's in, so he has no need to ask. It's not long before Cielo arrives in demon form and he reverts back to human form.

It's convenient when you can fly very fast.]

What happened?

[It's probably just as well. Tiir hasn't had much time to calm down, but he softens at the sight of Cielo.]

[This is a familiar sight.

His path blocked by the bloody carnage, Walter takes a moment to observe the mutilated bodies with usual impassiveness. Sound from above draws his attention, and he cranes his head, expecting to find the predictable culprit.

He's been skimming the communicator with more frequency, and with it, the contact list. This was a predictable outcome of a missing name.

Tiir. This is the price for foolishly loving outside of your kin.]

It's kind of obvious, bro.

[... Ah.

Tiir looks down, smirking, before calling out—]

[It might've been a mistake. Caring about Minato—a human—might not have been the right thing to do. Tiir doesn't know, as he hasn't been sure about what's right or wrong for a long time now.

Still, he doesn't regret meeting Minato, just as how he doesn't regret meeting any of his friends back home, in spite of their deaths.

He'll never regret it.

—But it still hurts so, so much.]

[MAYBE HE JUST FELT LIKE KILLING PEOPLE—okay, fine.

He just laughs lightly at that.]

Is it? Ah, well. That's a pity...

[Okay but you better clean up this mess when you're done.]

So why don't you tell me what's going on, ja?

He manages a brighter smile.]

I'll be fine. You don't have to worry.

[He doesn't laugh.

It figures that he'd be on his way elsewhere when Tiir's mess obstructs it. Walter is no stranger to such gruesome sights, however, and he proves that he has no interest in deriving pleasure from Tiir's suffering -- or anything, really -- as he steps around the broken bodies.

The suffering of another who isn't Ferines means nothing to him.]

[Well, Cielo doesn't want to! He already has enough looking after others these days!]

That's not going to work on me. I will worry about you if I want to, thank you very much.

[Fortunately, even in his grief-driven anger, Tiir is rational enough to realize that he doesn't particularly desire Walter's death.

Still, it doesn't stop him from sitting down, as he swings his legs idly and calls out once more.]

I could kill you right now, you know.

[However, the dimming of his eyes should make his intentions clear.

... Heh. Didn't he say something similar to Minato once? And just like then, he doesn't quite understand why he doesn't—]

[Serph knows about Minato disappearing. It's hard not to, when he works with him. And he knows Tiir was -- is -- close to him. It's a shame that ship has sailed--

His voice is as calm and as even as ever.]

[He blinks, tilting his head to the side.]

[... He'll be fine. He's pulled himself through worse, and he'll continue to do so. It's as he told Minato: worrying about him is a waste of time—energy better spent elsewhere.

[Walter doesn't so much as grace Tiir with a glance or a momentary pause. He continues walking, the distance between them increasing.

He doesn't quite agree that Tiir could kill him right then and there. While it is true that the power difference is notable, he refuses to be such easy prey. He isn't. He must be strong; he is strong.

And he replies.]

Take it up with Lamufao.

["We're still here."

Though Serph can't see it, those words break Tiir's smirk as he freezes for a moment, unable to say anything.

...

He takes in a breath, before he finally speaks.]

... Thank you.

[All he's ever really wanted in Vatheon was—]

[It's just the kind of curt reply Tiir expected from Walter. The predictability of it makes him laugh—just as empty of a laugh as before.]

... Perhaps.

[He doesn't move from where he is, instead watching Walter walk away.]

[He tilts his head to one side in confusion.]

So?

[Didn't he just say that he wanted to worry about Tiir? Why is this conversation going in circles?]

[Because Tiir can't comprehend the idea of people worrying about him.]

... So you don't have to.

[And he doesn't comprehend why Tiir seems to be rejecting his concern! All of this lack of comprehension and Gale's not even here!]
