[Warning: Blood, implied death (of some poor natives), and implied cannibalism.]
Aha. Hahaha…
[At first, the feed is black, as the video hasn’t been turned on, so there’s nothing but laughter—rather hollow laughter at that. It starts off quiet, but gradually increases in volume—]
Hahaha—!
[He’s probably sounding a tad crazy, before his laugh dies down and in its place are the sounds of movement. Many will probably recognize the sounds of fighting, albeit a very one-sided fight, with the noise of something splattering across the ground. For a moment afterwards, there’s silence, and then—well, you’re probably better off not identifying the sounds.
And then, once more, everything is quiet, save for something that’s either crying or more laughter. That lasts for a few seconds, before there’s the sound of movement again—a jump, to be precise. Another few moments pass, and then the video feed finally turns on—]
Well, everyone.
[Standing on the roof of a building, Tiir smiles bitterly, his eyes still glowing a faint red. He then wipes the blood off his mouth with his sleeve, though specks still remain on his face.]
I hope you’re all having a good day.
[Minato—
And with that, the feed clicks off.]

... So you don't have to.
no subject
[And he doesn't comprehend why Tiir seems to be rejecting his concern! All of this lack of comprehension and Gale's not even here!]
no subject
no subject
no subject
... However, you really don't need to.
no subject
Cielo is confused and frustrated by Tiir's puzzling behavior.
...is Tiir telling him he doesn't want his friendship?]
Fine.
[HE DOESN'T NEED YOUR PERMISSION.]
You want to talk about something else then?
[Or maybe do something less destructive?]
no subject
... He definitely wants your friendship right now, actually.
He makes a non-committal hum.]
... Well, to answer your question—
[A pause]
A friend of mine left this world.
no subject
Oh.
[He knows what it's like to lose friends. He's watched countless people die and he saw the sadness his comrades experienced losing the friends they made.]
And you miss them a lot, ja?
no subject
[It's funny. Loss should get easier with each occasion, but it never really has for Tiir.]
no subject
Ah, don't worry about it. Instead of wasting time thinking about him leaving, you had more time to spend with him.
[Everyone must leave eventually. By death, or in Vatheon's case, by returning to their home worlds.]
It might be foolish, but being foolish isn't necessarily a bad thing, ja?
no subject
He manages a smile.]
... That's true. It's a good way of thinking.
no subject
[And it hurts a lot. And it changes people. Cielo has seen this himself.]
When that happens, what you gotta do is live and remember them.
[Cielo likes to think that separation isn't forever. That you'll see your friends again, though maybe not in this lifetime.]
You feel better now?
no subject
[It's the same as all those times when his friends died. He knows—he's always known—that all he can really do afterwards is continue forwards and honour their memory, especially when he's the only one who will.
Loss may never get easier for him, but that hasn't changed the fact that he's survived through it again and again.
He nods.]
Thank you, Cielo.
no subject
Let me know if you ever want to talk or do anything else, ja?
[He's going back to the base now! See you there!]
no subject
I will.
[See you. o/]
