[ Shortly after Mithos's (rather one-sided) "fight" against Zelos, Mithos hadn't been seen again for almost a month. That's a long time for almost anyone else, but for someone immortal, it might as well be one day. Finally, however, Mithos' frequency begins picking up signals on the starfish, obviously coming from his room, but it's just... pointing at the ceiling, as if it was left on accidentally. Occasionally, the sound of something 'knocking' can be heard, but it's otherwise really quiet. If you're staring at the screen though, you might notice a flash of blonde hair every now and then. He's obviously in there... in case anyone wants to talk to him. Or force their way into his apartment to talk to him, as the case may be.

I'm looking at you, Kratos. ]

[ But there is a text message sent to Colette's starfish. ]

[ Mithos sighs. ]

I just don't think that's possible anymore.

[She tilts her head.]

Why not?

They haven't changed after four thousand years. I'm not naive enough to think they'll change now.

[clumsyblonde]

[But maybe some of the population is naive enough to get it to work...]

Maybe, but...even if it is really unlikely, we won't stop trying.

[martelapproves]

What makes you think you'll have better luck than me?

[clumsyblonde]

Well...Because... [She's just...sure that they will, eventually...]

Because I think a lot of people will listen to what we have to say, even if they don't agree at first. The only people I can think of who probably wouldn't listen to one of us are the elves. Regal's important, and people think Zelos and I are important because of the Church of Martel. The Professor and Genis are traveling around speaking in the villages and towns to tell the people that not all half-elves are like the Desians - the half-elves we feared. Sheena is really important to the people of Mizuho, and Presea is doing well, so people would probably listen to her too if she told them. Lloyd went to collect exspheres, but I'm sure he's doing what he can to spread the word, the idea, that humans don't need to fear half-elves. Sure, you're different, but humans aren't all the same either.

[ He doesn't think it's that easy. It can't be that easy. Otherwise, everything he worked for for the last 4,000 years will have been for nothing. ]

You said the humans started fighting each other again after the worlds were reunited. How do you plan to stop that?

[clumsyblonde]

[It probably isn't...]

Well, I don't know yet. I don't remember if I'd had a plan before I came here. But I'm gonna at least try.

I had to split the worlds because they wouldn't stop. It won't be easy, Colette.

[clumsyblonde]

I know it won't be easy. But I do think it's possible.

... I'm just not convinced of that anymore.

[clumsyblonde]

[She shrugs.]

I don't think you need to be. And maybe we'll change your mind.

[ Mithos falls silent, and breaks eye contact. He wants her to be right, so badly. But he just can't think it is anymore. He can't bring himself to forget 4,000 years of everything he believed about humans being hateful being proven true. ]

[clumsyblonde]

[She sits on the ground and keeps watching him. There...doesn't seem to be much she can say right now. So she'll just wait until he says something.]

[martelapproves]

[ Well... he does have one question. ]

So... if Martel... if Martel is the new Summon Spirit of the Tree... what happened to Ratatosk?

[clumsyblonde]

[...? She tilts her head.]

Ratatosk?

[martelapproves]

[ Figures she wouldn't know who that is. Maybe the squirrel went all emo and refused to come back. Sounds like something he'd do; not only was he betrayed, he was replaced as the Tree's Summon Spirit. ]

Never mind.

[clumsyblonde]

[Now you've made her curious...but she shrugs. She'll ask someone later.]

Okay. Anything else? I left my dog alone so...

[ His eyes lower, staring at the ground again. For a few seconds, he's quiet. He has a lot to think about, now; his sister was now a Summon Spirit, and even by those standards, may not even be Martel anymore. The worlds were rejoined, and just like he predicted, Tethe'alla and Sylvarant wasted no time in starting to fight with one another all over again. Not to mention this would open a whole new can of worms, such as the return of the Centurions. It really was a lot to take in, and Mithos would have to think about it for a while. ]

No... I guess that's it, for now.

[ Mithos' posture slouched, his eyes glued to the floor. Finally, his eyes closed. ]

[She smiles.]

Let me know if you want to talk again, okay Mithos? It doesn't have to be so you can ask me things; it can be if you just want to talk to someone too.

[She knows he probably won't do it but...she wants to offer anyway.]

[ That sounded an awful lot like she wanted to be friends with him. His eyes close. ]
