I am assuming I am not the only one who's... fairy [He just couldn't get used to that]... suddenly self-destructed?

Fairy explode! Fairy explode! [Haro commenting from the background.]

I am certain it likely means something, however I have been unable to determine what so far. Is there anyone here with knowledge on what the fairies were for?

It has been confirmed that the fairies were for observational purposes. Surveillance. There's a lot of speculation on what their absence might mean, but nothing definite as of yet.

That would explain the lack of response whenever we attempted to interact with them. Though I cannot imagine anyone bringing in such a large population of otherworlders and not wanting to maintain some sort of watch over them.

Still, the sudden change in their tactics is disturbing.

Extremely. There is undoubtedly turmoil in their ranks. The woman who spoke with us seemed... uneasy.

Were you able to speak with her yourself?

Briefly, but yes.

What were you able to learn from her?

[She hesitates.]

I'm not sure I'm comfortable saying on the network. It was more an observation than anything else, and I do not wish to get her in any sort of trouble. I would be happy to tell you in person, sometime.

It's something to do with with them being in the way. Who knows whats that supposed to mean though.

In the way of watching us closely? If they were there to observe us from the beginning, then what has changed? [All rhetorical questions, really, but important all the same.] I am curious why things are different now than before.

I never thought about the fairies much while they were here, but now that they are gone I wish I had. Perhaps we could have communicated in some way.

They were rather mute, even more so than an animal. [N's proficiency with speaking to animals had not gone unnoticed by now.] I am uncertain just how far that would have gone for anyone. That is why I am inclined to believe they may not have been sentient.

No, they were not. They could have been created beings, though... genetically engineered clones without a mind. [Like an Innovade before having a personality implanted.] I am not entirely certain of that, however.

Yes. I have heard a few now. The main one seems to be that they were meant for observing us for some reason. Like this was some sort of experiment.

Setsuna did have a Haro while he was here. That Haro is with N now. [Which, to some extent, still bothered Tieria just a little bit, but he knew N would be respectful of Haro's importance.] This is a different Haro unit.
