It would appear that I'm not the only one to find themselves in the body of another person thanks to this curse, and unless I'm misunderstanding some people it seems that this has happened before. That said, I don't know how these 'scientists' pulled this one off, but I don't quite appreciate having my soul transferred into another body. On the positive side, at least these curses only last for a week.

[How slow could the week possibly go, anyway?]

How is everyone coping with their new bodies?

[With that message sent out, Kimblee starts to work on two separate messages. Typing the messages out was simple enough to do with his human half, but when it came to actually filtering them, it took a bit more work and a brief struggle to get the automail arm to grasp the communicator correctly so he could push the right buttons to label them with the right names. He already mixed them up twice before getting it right after the third try.]

[//Filtered to Archer]
Archer, do contact me as soon as you see this. I believe you may have my body if what I'm seeing on the network is accurate. There are a few... ground rules I'd like to put on the table regarding it. I'd prefer to meet in person if that's all right with you. I'll be at the coral considering I'm having some difficulty moving around. I'd applaud you for being able to manage this but your arm isn't quite... cooperating with me.

[Seriously, this automail is so much hassle he does not envy you at all.]

[//Filtered to Selim]

Disregard the name attached to this message if you would; it's Kimblee. I assume you've already discovered that I'm not in the apartment, so I only ask that you behave yourself around my body. In English, try not to scare or devour him. You've already done that once before and frankly I still have mixed feelings over that particular incident. Should you wish to see me, I have a feeling I won't be straying too far from the plaza. This body is...

[WELL IT'S INTERESTING. He just didn't really expect to end up spending time in it.]

I'm not sure if Vanitas' body is still there, but try to keep him in one piece as well.

[A few minutes pass before he sends a second message following the first half.]

I do have a small favor to ask of you as well; keep an eye on 'me'. I'd hate to lose the Philosopher's Stone in a situation like this.

[...He kind of wants to argue that Kimbley was careless. He really can't argue it though. Dammit, Kimbley, why are you so difficult to defend? >:| ]

Yes, that would make sense. He was known for killing a superior officer and he was imprisoned after the war. I take it the same thing happened to you?

[Ooooh, and he can actually go up there and destroy them!!! Kimblee pls how did you manage this]

Five?

[...the amount of OOH MR KIMBLEE OOH here...]

Why did you kill so many? Were you trying to get yourself killed?

[Omg, he'll have to go check it out now that he can actually move properly!! Oh Kimblee, honey...]

Oh there's no problem, Kimblee. I'm impressed.

[Smirking like a douchebag too! ...Not that it's abnormal for your body, but you know.]

So after that you were placed in prison. For how long?

Only six or seven? It was nearly ten in my world.

[How bizarre! But that's no big deal; his sense of time is so horribly skewed due to the automail anyway. Maybe he was wrong about that?]

And then you escaped?

Bradley released you? Well, that's certainly a change. Kimbley escaped in my world - I had to blackmail Bradley to get him reinstated. But I suppose he did that on his own?

[...Wait a minute, Kimblee doesn't have the military uniform though...]

...Or were you not reinstated at all?

[He really was... And clearly it was magic and wishes. Also blackmail.]

So you served him, but weren't returned to active duty.

[Huh. That's... definitely different...]

It wasn't the same in my world. In fact, the Fuhrer really didn't seem to like the other version of you.

[CONSIDERING HE WAS SENT ON A SUICIDE MISSION AND ALL....]

Ah, but Kimbley's crimes were all cleared! He was wrongfully imprisoned, after all.

[Can you see just how smug this asshole is? It's almost impressive.]

It took some convincing, but eventually Bradley was able to see just how valuable an asset Kimbley would be to our military.

[...In other words, Archer blackmailed the shit out of him. c: ]

But no, I suppose he wasn't very polite. As far as the Fuhrer's son goes... well, I'm fairly sure he's dead in my world.

[Totally Mustang's fault. And a 'How To Train Your Kimbley' book would be wonderful! He had to learn through trial and error! ...Mostly error, if we're honest.]

I do what I can.

[False modesty everywhere...]

I'm sure you heard of Hughes' death? He was the former head of Investigations and made quite the side project of studying corruption within the military. He stumbled on some very interesting information shortly before his death. From what I understand, he had ordered his secretary to burn it all, but she didn't quite get a chance to do that before she was fired. I rehired her after I took Hughes' place and was able to put together the information he left behind. The man was far smarter than I gave him credit for while I worked for him, but it was ultimately that information that killed him. Instead of trying to let others know about that information, I went straight to Bradley himself.

[So, so smug. At least this is normal for Kimblee's face?]

...Ah, have you? I wouldn't have expected you to be the sort interested in child-rearing.

[You poor man.]

That was simple, really. As head of the Investigations department, I made sure to leave just enough notes lying around for my department to find and decipher should something happen to me. I didn't tell any of them what I knew, of course - and I told Bradley I'd destroy all those notes as long as I got what I wanted.

[Let's be real, Bradley probably thought this was hilarious...]

Hopefully for longer than I lasted in my own.
