[The man looks angry and his voice is strained as he tries to keep it even. The image is close-up to prevent any of the background scene from being transmitted.]

I'm relatively new here, so I'm not sure of the proper channels but this is serious enough that I'm telling everyone on the network. I've found another body.

[He looks pained at having actually said the word 'body'.]

There seems to be a serial killer here in Vatheon. This is the third occurrence in a week and the circumstances surrounding this latest death are similar to the previous ones of a man named Jacob, and a small girl named Bianca. Everyone should be extremely cautious.

The latest victim... [His eyes travel off-screen and there is a moments pause before they dart back to the communicator.] ... is Hubert Oswell.

Serial Killer? What's that? [ A murderer of breakfast! But more importantly. ]

Did something happen to Hubert?

A serial killer is a very bad person Sophie. They murder one person after the next and generally keep doing it until they are caught.

[He voice becomes soft and the anger leaves his face, replaced by sorrow.]

Hubert's been killed. [He omits the details of how.]

[ A frown. ]

Why?

[ The eternal question. At mention of Hubert being killed, Sophie falls silent for a moment. ]

Will it take Hubert seven years to come back too? [ Cuz that's what people do when they die. ]

Since when did killing people suddenly become a sport?

It seems to be for whoever is doing this.

[He agrees at Yuri's 'sport' characterization and it only angers Malik more. Instead of yelling or raging, he simply becomes more quiet.]

Hopefully they find whoever did this soon. Before I do and kill them myself.

The response comes from Kimblee rather than Archer, but that's hardly important now.]

It would certainly seem as though we have quite the case on our hands. Where did you find the body?

[He's doing a little investigation on his own, but this is more or less to keep his detective skills honed. Archer isn't in any condition to go around investigating in his own body, at any rate.]

[He takes a quick look around to get his bearings. He hadn't though too much about where he was yet. The sight of the body and discovery of it being Hubert had pushed those details out of his mind.]

An alley. Maybe two or three blocks from the plaza. Do you know anything about what's going on?

I've only just arrived recently myself. I spoke to Miss Zelda about the second body found, however. I'm afraid I don't know much more than you do.

Can you do me a favor and examine the body? Don't touch it until someone with homicide investigation experience shows up, but could you tell me if there are precise cuts in the body? Like a surgeon or doctor operated on it?

[That's quite understandable; it does take most people awhile to get used to investigating crimes like these. Unless you're crazy or sadistic. Or both, in Archer's case.]

Apparently, we should be taking our time solving this matter. By the time we 'solve' it, we'll all be dead.

[He looks slightly guilty. Maybe he could have prevented this if he had been doing more with the previous reports of bodies showing up. He hadn't done anything about it. They weren't people he knew and this strange place wasn't his world.]

Do you know if there is currently anyone in charge of an investigation?

Not to my current knowledge, no. And how much time would it take to organize that?

The other two... she hadn't even known them, and she'd felt badly enough for the poor young girl.

I found him just a few minutes ago in an alley about two or three blocks from the plaza. I'm sorry to be the bearer of such sad news.

[Hubert knows a woman well enough that she is this upset about him? The situation is serious but he can't stop the thought from slipping into his mind. He quickly pushes it away.]

[Well, compared to Malik-- certainly not. They'd only spoken a couple times, after all, but he'd been engaging enough that she definitely remembers him clearly.

She never did take him up on that offer to spend some time with him, when she'd been upset...]

No... [Voice calm after the initial shock subsides, she shakes her head.] It's quite all right. If anything, I'm sorry that you had to be the one to find him.

A third victim, and still no clues about the murderer...

I don't have any idea who could be responsible and I'm probably one of the worst people to ask. I hardly know anyone here in Vatheon.

The situation in which I found Hubert, however, does seem to be the same as the other victims.

He's a strong and talented soldier. He must have been tricked or trapped in some way for someone to be able to do this to him.
