[Not even a day has passed and you can already expect Azimuth to be on his feet, continuing life as normal. Except something about him still seems off, and in the process of preparing breakfast, the old Lombax could be seen stopping from time to time, murmuring to himself, or pausing to lean on the counter. His movements are stiff and hesitant, though he manages enough sense of mind to nearly complete an entire bowl of cereal.

Milk poured, an unsteady hand sets the gallon aside, opting to put it back in the fridge later. This is followed by another hesitant pause, and the Elder stares strangely down at the Lucky Charms filled to the rim.

He raises the spoon.

But his head is first to splash into the bowl, nearly knocking it over.

No, Alister, that's not how you eat.]

[When Alister began to grow wilder, Jade pushed his chair back and moved away from him. The best option might be to leave him at the moment, or at least get out of his line of sight. He'd been swinging from mood to mood and Jade couldn't predict what would happen next. He stood a few feet away from the bed, watching him carefully and drawing his lips into a thin line. He didn't know if it was getting worse, but Jade didn't know his previous condition. Whether it was his presence that was causing the issues or any presence at all.]

[The fire is thick, hot enough to lick the tips of his fur and the Lombax bristles at the feel of it being so close. But through it all, he can make out a familiar figure, backing away from him, the hands, the twisted laughing faces and no come back no!]

[He grabs the man's arm once again, desperation in his eyes. He doesn't want to be left alone to die. Not again!]

[Jade wasn't appreciative of the grabbing and he quickly yanked back from the hand.]

[Jade's free hand grabbed the hand on his wrist, gently trying to pry it away from his arm.]

[He tries to move away, but Alister is faster, now pulling himself up with both hands and stumbling to his feet. Of course, he nearly stumbles back down, almost taking the Colonel with him before correcting his gait.]

They'll get you. They'll take you away! Please, just...

[Oh. Yeah, right he wasn't... feeling well, was he?

Both hands abruptly release their grip and the General falls to the floor without another word.]

[Jade backed up towards the wall when Alister got up, though he was yanked forward again when Alister stumbled.]

No one is coming to get me, Alister. It's going to be fine.

[That was a good thing to say, right?]

[Jade tried to quickly get Alister under the arms to keep him from further injuring himself. After a bit of finagling, he dragged Alister back to the bed and set him on. Some more work got Alister settled in and Jade flopped back into the chair with a huff.

A bit later, when Jade was more-rested, he got to his feet and began to get ready to head back to his own apartment. Alister was best left to rest now. More answers would come later when he wasn't so close to his kidnapping.]
