Faith isn't something you explain the how of. But you should be able to feel the rightness of it.

Imprisonment, obviously, so he can't hurt anyone else. Killing him here won't do any good, because it won't last. Torture never does any good, it only breaks people further. What we need is to manage some kind of repair.

Your ideals are childish and don't work, there's no way to repair someone once they are broken.

That's clearly not true. It's just a matter of the right approach.

I don't intend to perpetuate needless violence, I just want things to be sorted in the best way they can be.

By locking up a murderer and doing what? Giving him flowers and a spank on the hand while asking him nicely to never commit murders again? If that's your thought process, you're an absolute fool.

If he's locked up then he can't hurt anyone again. I don't intend to let him free, I just don't think that torture will help at all!

Murderous types tend to use those with kindness so they can get themselves freed.

I truly don't wish to let him loose. But torture won't help the situation, won't do anything other than make us as guilty as him.

You're aware of what this man has done, aren't you? He deserves a punishment fitting of his crimes.

If death lasted here I would say kill him and be done with it. But it doesn't.

It's not mindless torture when you're attempting to get information out of someone, but very well. You may do things your way and we'll see how smoothly it goes.
