That was just the oddest week. I kept feeling like the locals were talking about me right before I walked into a room. It was just so awkward. I'm glad it's over. I've had enough of it.

On to less oddness, would anyone be up for a card game? Or even a board game?

[ Fortunately Ryou had learned his way to the plaza well over the past few months, making sure he didn't get lost this time.

He waits at one of the tables in the plaza cafes, sorting out some extra cards he'd picked up here. ]

[As Bianca walked into the Plaza, she was 30 minutes late. It's a new record, she didn't go off on her own again! As she let out a proud smile, she began looking for a white headed boy around the area. Luckily, seeing Ryou playing with children's card games was easy to spot]

[ Ryou does like his children's card games. He looks up at the girl. ]

Mhmm, that's right! It's nice to finally meet you in person!

[With that, she leans in a big closer to said cards on the table]

Is this the game you were talking about before? Hm...it looks really interesting...

[ Ryou nods. There're a few occult monsters on the table (those are his) but he's also added cuter creatures, since not everyone had a fascination for the occult like he did. ]

It is. I've gathered what extra ones I have so we can start building a deck for you.

Then which cards should I start off with first? It seems really complicated so you might have to explain it to me! Haha, it's been a while since I played card games but this seems like a lot of fun!

There are 40 cards in a deck. Your monster cards are your primary source of attacks and defending your lifepoints. Then you have traps to manipulate the board and magic to help. It's good to have a balance of all three. [ he offers each type of card for her to look at. ]

So...it's based on strategy right? If you have monsters attacking you, you can use traps and some kind of magic to back you up! Sounds a little bit like how I battle with pokemon except without the traps!

That's right. Monsters in defense mode can also guard your lifepoints but take a hit themselves. But unlike a real battle, it's based on turns and counters.

Hm...it's starting to sounds a little bit more complicated than I thought...

How about we start a battle? Maybe I can get the hang it once we start playing!

Alright sure. [ He shuffles a lot of the cute cards together. ] This deck contains light-element monsters, so there will be fairies and other things in it.

Hm...okay then! That means dark element monsters better beware!

[Once she get the deck of cards, she begins looking through some of the cards] Oh, they're really cute! I thought they might be a lot more um....monster like?

It's just an attribute mostly, so you can theme your deck and build it around a certain type.

[ he shuffles his a bit. ] Some are cute. I didn't think you'd like my deck, which is mostly undead.

[Uh...]

I don't mind undead things so long as they're not super scary! Like if they want to eat other monster or something!

Not exactly. [ He offered up a few cards, like a haunted painting, a rather haunting figure, a spirit, and a few other fiendish things. ]

That's....not as bad as I thought.

[Although she is side eyeing the last one a lot]

Only when they're not in hologram form. [ that creeps out most people. ]

...Holograms?

You can do that back home? I guess that does make it more exciting but...won't that scare some people?

That's right. It may not be for the faint of heart but it sure makes things more interesting.
