[ It takes herculean effort for the Psiioniic to turn the SFC on, but he manages it. Not that anyone could appreciate the work and mild head trauma he's put forth to accomplish this action.

There is a fat yet oddly expressive purple bee no bigger than an inch and a half on the screen, buzzing back and forth and flailing his little insectile legs. For those in the know, he's dancing in the intricate beenary code of a well-trained beehouse mainframe drone.

The message is simple: Help, I am a bee.

Otherwise, this is the rough equivalent of a funny video involving an unlikely dancing creature. Only without memetic background music.

And it's actually really, really stupid.

After way too long doing his little bee dance, he lands and speaks in such a faint voice it'd be easy to miss entirely:] Help.

[ Another little gesture of affirmation and he buzzes off screen.

Congratulations, the camera is pointed at the ceiling. ]

[That is... surprisingly unhelpful. At least the ceiling is painted a shade of white with a garish purple tint, which might as well be a flashing neon sign that says

DUALSCAR'S HIVE

Okay, just stay where you are. I'm going to walk around the hive. Fly out when you see me.

[He gets slowly and painfully to his feet, and begins shuffling through the hive, pausing in each room to see if he's assaulted by a purple bee.]

[ When Signless makes his way into the kitchen, Psii boldly flies away from the dubious safety of the SFC. When everything is so much bigger than himself, it's really quite terrifying. After a moment, he swoops around and lands on Signless' horn before slowly crawling down. ]

[Sufferer notices the purple bee right away, and holds still while he circles and then lands on him. It tickles as he crawls over his horn, but he bears it stoically, looking up through his bangs.]

Hi, Psii.

[ Psii crawls his way down to the curve of the troll's ear, his prickly little legs holding onto it tightly as he leans his tiny bee head in and does his best to shout.

It comes out as a very unimpressive whisper instead: ]I am sorry to make you come find me.

[When Psii gets close to his ear, Signless tips it as best he can and swivels it towards the bee. That way, if he falls, he'll land in the cup of his ear instead of on the floor.]

That's okay.

[He speaks very quietly, mindful of how loud he might sound to a tiny insect.]

Do you want to just stay with me for right now?

Forever.

[ Because, really, he never wanted to leave Signless even if Sollux had offered a much safer and more comfortable living situation.]

I do not want to leave.

[onlyasign]

... okay.

[Sufferer knows what is being left unsaid here, and it saddens him. If he wasn't such a useless sack of shit, Psii would have never been reduced to this in the first place. Slowly, limping, he makes his way back to the couch and settles in with a soft sigh.]

Do you want to watch some Vatheon Shore with me? I think I saw the back episodes on Dualscar's SeaVo.

[ Psii buzzes his wings in affirmation, holding on tightly as he does so. He stops after a second, recognizing that maybe that's not the most polite thing to do to someone. ]

[Sufferer makes a quiet chuffing sound--because bee wings buzzing in your ear tickles!--and shrugs his shoulders.]

I'm going to take that as a yes.

[He fumbles the remote control over, using his forearms to grasp it, and sets it in his lap. Fortunately, it's one of those remotes with the oversized buttons, and he's able to use his elbows to scroll through the menus and get the SeaVo working.]

[Soon, Sconchi's shrill tones permeate the air... and for just a moment, it's like nothing ever changed.]

[ Well, if one of them wasn't a bee currently settling down in Signless's ear to watch the show and the other wasn't missing his hands. And, well, if they hadn't both recently died horrible deaths.

Even so, he can be content like this. ]
