[Ok. So like. Everything's... furry.

There's a loud clatter as his SFC topples to the ground and gets kicked around couple of times until video finally pops up. What you'll see is first a large paw followed shortly by two very vibrant green eyes, under them distinct black markings on a feline face. But this isn't your run of the mill house cat. Oh, dear, no.

This is a cheetah. And it's currently making odd chirping noises at the screen, frantic, then followed by curious purrs and mews as the giant cat steps back to show its complete body.

Why this cat's in Axel's room is any guess... or is it?

There's more chirping and tail flicking, claws digging into the ground and fur bristling in annoyance. Ok. No opposable thumbs and no voice. This could pose a problem.]

[Roxas's ears go flat momentarily at the headbop, but he doesn't retaliate this time. He just won't keep petting you.]

I'm not taking it back.

[The most intense of glares.

He huffs and then leans up to nip at one of those ears of yours, Roxas. Yeah, he knows how hypocritical this is - he calls you cute, too - but, shhh.]

[Roxas shies away from the nip, ear flicking.]

The prettiest cat there is.

[He meant the first compliment honestly, but now he's just teasing. The tables have turned, Axel.]

[Nip nip and now pawing insistently at your shoulder.

Stop iiiiiit.]

[Stop, that tickles. Roxas shoves back at him.]

Nuh-uh, there's no denying it.

[Shove shove biting

Axel gives another push to Roxas' shoulder before he hears something - possibly some defenseless prey animal running about in the bushes - and ends up perking his ears up. He turns away with his paw rested against Roxas' body, focused and alert.

Oh god what is that. Is it something fun to chase. Bestie, bestie, do you hear it too?]

[Roxas shoves back at him but is close to falling over onto the bench when Axel gets distracted.

His ears prick up a moment after Axel's-- He does hear it, bestie. Is that a squirrel? A rabbit? He's still except for his tail twitching a bit, watching to see if it surfaces.]

[Bestie. Shhh. Stay low.

Axel crouches down a bit as he listens to the noise and then leaps down softly and quietly from the bench to see if he can spot whatever it is that's making a racket. Oooh, this is making his skin crawl.]

[Roxas quietly gets up off the bench and circles around in the other direction, just to cut off their quarry's other escape route.

This thing is not getting away.]

[He stalks up slowly, keeping close to the ground, and once he's close enough the rattling stops and out from the bushes-- Roxas, Roxas, it's a squirrel!

His ears perk up as the creature dashes away and on instinct he chirps at it and decides to give chase. Come on, Roxas! We got this.]

[Roxas takes off after it, too, even if he's nowhere near as fast as Axel -- he's pretty sure they're both faster than the squirrel.

But seeing Axel ahead of him chasing after it... something slowly clicks in his mind. If Axel's a cheetah and people are turning into animals, then...]

Axel, wait--! That could be somebody!

[Axel chases the creature as best he can, eyes set and legs pumping as he kicks up dirt and gravel, but when he hears Roxas call out to him the thought clicks and he goes wide-eyed as he grinds to a halt.

It's a shame he'll have to let the squirrel go, especially when he was so close to catching it, but he'll have to get over it. There's a disappointed mewl on his end as he watches the animal scurry away and out of sight before Axel turns to look back at Roxas with an annoyed growl. He's not mad at you! He's just frustrated that he hadn't been able to control himself.]

[Roxas catches him up, watching the squirrel disappear before returning his friend's gaze. He's not sure how to interpret that annoyance.]

...even if it was just a squirrel, I- don't think we'd really know what to do with it.

[But it got away, bestie. It got away.

Axel's ears droop a bit and after shaking his head he pads back over to nudge his best friend's hand. In other words, this is the weirdest day ever make it stop.]

[He knows, bestie. He wanted to catch it, too.

He pets Axel on the head.]

...it's only for a week.

[Y-yay for petting. Here, have a lick in return. Yeah, it'll only be for a week, but it'll be the longest week ever. Thinking that, he glances back over towards the open street in front of them. He chirps at Roxas telling him, or at least trying to tell him, that he's gotta go for a run.

Hopefully Roxas can take care of himself, unless he wants to come along too.]

...if you're gonna take off again, I can't keep up.

Um, you can find me later?

[Axel huffs and nods at Roxas but before he takes off he gives his best bud another nudge on his hand.

Keep yourself self, ok?]
