What is Halloween?
[ The message was posted very late at night, when most of Vatheon was probably asleep. But considering Ramirez isn't very tech savvy, his attempts to anonymize his post aren't very well-done. Any characters who are good with computers can likely see just who it is that's curious about this particular holiday. ]

Like the tale of the headless horseman!

[ He's somewhat intrigued, though. ]

Want to hear it?
:D
[Oh boy oh boy]

[ If only because he's genuinely curious. ]

Once upon a time there was a town called Sleepy Hollow. The guys loved to drink and the women loved to cook. One day, a man called Ichabod Crane came to the town as the new schoolteacher. All the women loved him, because he was handsome and smart. Every day they would cook him lots of meals, and he'd take them all, without showing any favor to any one lady. The men of the town got jealous, but the worst of it came when Brom Bones, the bully of the town, found out that his sweetheart, Katrina Van Tussel, was also cooking for him!

[ Kind of off to a boring start. ]

The Headless Horseman! A demonic figure who rode near town every night, looking for his lost head. He controlled fire and wind, raging a horse from the underworld, and if he found anyone out at late, he'd take their heads! Ichabod was terrified to leave the tavern that night, but kept telling himself it was only a story. He got on his horse, and headed home...
... Then he began to notice a shadow following him.
Text
Still, the stories can be... entertaining. Sometimes. ]
Text
Then Ichabod heard it! Loud, bellowing laughter! "I've come for your head, Ichabod Crane!"

No matter how fast Ichabod went, he couldn't lose him! In fact, the Headless Horseman was gaining on him! The only thing the teacher could think to do was make it to the old bridge that would take him out of Sleepy Hollow! He galloped, the Horseman galloped, closer and closer, the bridge almost in sight! He was nearly there, when the Headless Horseman threw his flaming pumpkin! The bridge burst into flames! Ichabod screamed...
... And that was the last anyone ever heard from him again.
There are those who say he merely left the town, married a plump woman, and had many children far, far away. But those in the village of Sleepy Hollow know better. Brom and his wife Katarina will always know about the real fate of Ichabod Crane...
... The End!

People usually celebrate it with costumes in my country. Though not in my city.

There are monsters in my world.
I don't know about other worlds.
We don't celebrate Halloween in my city.
[Someone is a touch sensitive about it and feeling agitated and ill suddenly.]

Ive Been Reading Up On It Recently
Most Iterations Of The Event Are A Holdover Of Primitive Religious Beliefs
Set At A Point Before The Local Winter When The Days Become Shorter Due To An Axial Tilt Common To Many Worlds
Loosely Based On The Equinox Or The Day Where The Night Is Equally Long To The Day
Its Connotations Include Some Primitive Ideas Of Evil Coming With The Darkness
It Is Also A Form Of Something Called A Harvest Festival Which Might Have Something To Do With The Candy I Guess
Or Maybe Its The Harvesting Of Young Children By Monsters
Anyway Most Worlds Celebrate It By Wearing Costumes Giving Away Candy And A Disgustingly Sexual Group Ritual

My Statements Were Slightly Misleading
A Group Of People Stick Their Heads Into A Large Fluid Containing Vessel And Attempt To Pull Out Food Items With Their Mouths
This Is Not Really Sexual To Most Cultures But For Mine It Is Fairly Obscene
I Actually Doubt It Is Taken The Same Way In The Cultures That Practice It

Is there a reason for that?

It Is Related To Our Reproductive Cycle
The One Image I Have Seen Of This Food Diving Activity Involved A Container That Is Extremely Similar To The Ones Used On Our Home Planet To Deliver Genetic Material To The Mother Grubs In The Brooding Caverns
The Filial Pails Themselves Carry Something Of A Taboo From This Procreative Association
