[When the names had vanished off the list, Johnny had gone straight to the coral to wait. They'd be back, of course. Why wouldn't they be? But it was the end of the three days and there was no sign. They were gone. It made sense, when he thought about it, Crowley didn't have anything here, at least Aziraphale was back home for him. And Jacob had that island he clearly loved so much.

And then there was Otoha; he didn't need to wait three days for him, the bar keys and letter were telling enough.

With a sigh, he switched the voice feed on; he was too tired to wear a mask.]

Jacob, Crowley, and Otoha have all gone home.

Otoha's bar'll still be open, for those of you who liked to go there. The hours just might be a little more..limited.

[He did still have his tavern and the school, after all.

There's a pause.]

Does anyone know how to take care of chocobos?

[After all, he'd only been living there to bug Crowley.]

Do you know any places that fit that description? It's been awhile since I've house hunted~

[Fai isn't going to bring up the loss part. It doesn't need to be said.]

I see the real reason you want a big place. For parties~

Mm~ I do love parties and festivities~ We'll just have to find some place accommodating.

To be honest, I don't know of any place off hand, but we could look around. If not, we could do what I did for the school: find an empty building and renovate it~

A family project~

Ahhh, you mean actual work~? [Fai pouts playfully. watch out, his lazy side is showing.]

Work~? It's not work if we have fun with it~

[His expression flashes pained a second before returning to what it was; he hadn't thought.]

I'm sure we could make it interesting~~

[Fai looks away briefly, knowing the mistake that was almost made. He then looks back at the device and offers a small smile. He had been told not to smile in a fake way when he is sad but this one is more sympathetic then fake.]

If it's us, I'm sure it will be fun. How soon should we go looking?

[He returns the smile, sad, but more genuine.]

Whenever you want. Tomorrow.

[There's a brief pause and he looks away a moment.]

Are you at home right now?

I am. Are you coming home? Or would you like me to meet you somewhere?

No...no, I'm headed home. I'll be there in a couple minutes.

[There was no point sitting by the coral anymore, there was no one to wait for.

He stuffed the letter and the keys into a pocket and headed back.]

[Fai ends the feed and goes into the kitchen to wait for Johnny and prepare something warm to drink.]

[The older vampire slips in and drops the things in his pocket on a table as he goes straight to where he can smell Fai.

And immediately wraps his arms around the slighter man, burying his face in that blond hair.]

[Fai senses Johnny coming and pauses in his preparation of the drinks, relaxing back against him with a soft smile.]

Welcome home, Johnny. I made some tea if you would like some.

[Fai knew that some kinds of hot tea were good for relaxing, so he decided to at least try it.]

[He turned his face, a small smile on his lips and in his voice.]

Thanks, Fai. I appreciate it.

....I'm glad I didn't loose you too.

[His circle of close friends had gone down, almost, by half...he couldn't deny he was feeling a little clingy.]

It seems you're stuck with me~ How unfortunate for you. [Fai smiles at Johnny teasingly.]

And I don't plan on going anywhere, so don't worry.

[He smirks and pulls away to get the tea Fai had made.]

Mmm~ I think you're the unfortunate one, stuck with a senile old man like me~

How boring it must be for a whippersnapper like you~!

Ah I don't mind~ You're a fun old man.

[Fai sets the mugs in front of Johnny, their saucers already armed with sweeteners and lemon should they decide to add anything to the tea.]

Glad I can still keep things interesting~

[He decided to add that sweetener and lemon. Why not?]

What color should we make the inside of the new house? How many rooms should it have, you think?

Well..at least three bedrooms. Perhaps four in case we do have a guest. [Fai taps his finger against his lips in thought. Giving his brother his own room seemed like a good step to take.]

Mmm~ four is a good number~ Your brother said he wanted a garden, so we'll have to attend to that.

And I wouldn't mind a small library of some sort. My book collection here has been growing a bit.

What about you, Fai? What do you want?

A garden and a library would be nice.

[Fai looks around.] All I want is a nice big kitchen so that I can cook whatever we want.

Sounds good to me~

Maybe we could find a place with an alcove and a window so Minea can have her own space as well....

It'll be nice~

This is going to be a pretty big house. [Fai laughs as he picks up his cup to carry it into the living area.] I hope we can find someplace that will fit our desires.

[Johnny followed him, not really having anything else to do.]

If we can't find it, I'll make it~

I've gotta keep my family comfortable and happy, hmm~?

Such a good daddy~ [Fai smiles back at Johnny as he walks. He of course considers himself the mommy of the family. That is just how it has always been, even when traveling with the kids and Kurogane.]

We've managed pretty well in this place..even if it did get pretty crowded for awhile.

[Fai had considered moving out when Syaoran was around..just so they could have more space but when the boy left, thoughts of moving also seemed to leave. But the idea is back and Fai finds it isn't an unpleasant one.

Fai settles onto the couch and blows on his tea a little to cool it.]

[Johnny sat as well and sipped from his cup.]

I try~ It helps to have such a good mommy~

[It was nice to think of them as a family; it was something he hadn't really had before this place. And, even with the family smaller, that didn't make it any less good or worthwhile.]

I do my best~ [Fai smiles as he lifts the cup to his lips. He sips at the tea for awhile then lowers the cup and sets it aside. He reaches out and hooks his arm through Johnny's, being careful not to make him spill his tea as he hugs it. He just wants to give Johnny a little comforting contact. Even if they are avoiding the topic of people leaving, he knows it still will bother him.]

How soon do you want to go house hunting?
