[As the SFC turns on, Angelo is seen sitting on the couch in his and Lloyd's apartment with a serious yet somber expression on his face. Of course he'd be the one to bring this news to the network, as he had done before. Lloyd was his roommate after all and he always finds out before everyone else.]

Lloyd has been put into a sleep coma by the Coral. During this time, I'm not moving him from his room and keeping watch over him until he wakes up... Whenever that will be. It's the least I can do as his...friend.

[His friend huh? Was he truly Lloyd's friend? Is that what one would call a friend? Someone who lies and acts on fake emotions? Never being completely truthful even after all the months two people live together? He doesn't deserve to have Lloyd call him his friend, but...it was the only term that comes to his lips. Yet, he tries to act as if he's not bothered by what has happened.]

But people recover from these comas or at least from I know from experience, so there isn't much to worry about. Instead I'm going to live my life normally and take care of my friend, I see no reason to be sad when I know he'll wake up from this being his usual Lloyd self again. Others are free to think or feel whatever they wish, however I still stand by what I've said and don't plan on changing that.

[The feed then turns off soon after that.]

Christmas? What's that?

[Zelos adjusts Lloyd in his arms to be carried more comfortably.]

It's a holiday that exists during December, you exchange gifts on a day with the ones you love and sit together by a Christmas tree. That's what I read in a book at the library at the very least. You can also put up decorations to celebrate the day.

So like a solstice celebration. Yeah, that sounds good. Hopefully he'll wake up in time. Some people sleep for months though so don't hold your breath or anything.

[Goddess he hopes Lloyd isn't gonna sleep for a month...

He gives a small shrug and starts back out the door as if Lloyd weighs next to nothing.]

I'm not holding my breath for it, but if I know Lloyd, he'll come back soon.

[He's watching Zelos still and how he's able to lift Lloyd.]

I would ask how you're able to lift Lloyd so easily, but I'm going to guess it's some type of power you have.

Yup, pretty much.

[He's aware Lloyd is a much more open person than he is, but he has no idea if his bud has shared having a cruxis crystal with Angelo. Zelos isn't about to be the one to explain if he hasn't.

Heading out the door now bro. Better hurry if you wanna go too!]

[He's following Zelos and closing the door behind them to make sure it's locked too.]

So how did you become friends with Lloyd anyway? Obviously you're both from the same world, I can tell that much.

[The temptation to say Lloyd grew on him like a fungus is strong but he resists.]

You know Lloyd, he tends to worm his way into people's lives then suddenly you care about him.

[Not that that is any more flattering, but he's not about to explain such personal details; this from a man who boasts over women, but friendship is still sacred ground for the redhead considering it's a place he hasn't tread until the last year or so, and that thanks to Lloyd.]

[There's a nod and he may give Zelos a half smile.]

I know that very well, he's very good at it too. There are times I wonder if it's a special power he has over people.

[It wouldn't surprise him if that were true, Lloyd is such a nice person to be around and while he doesn't feel as though he deserves to be his friend... He at least wants to try to change a little bit, maybe.]

I kinda wonder the same thing, to tell you the truth.

[Seriously, how does he do it? People like him, and trust him, and he trusts them and somehow everything works out for Lloyd like it never does for anyone else. It's astounding.]

I've never known anyone like him before, it's rather interesting to see there are those like him out there. One bright light among all the darkness you may say.

[He won't deny his entire world is filled with darkness and part of him does want to fill it with light, he just doesn't know how to.]

['A bright light in the darkness'... it's an apt metaphor. And he knows more than one person like that, too, in different ways. Sometimes it seems like he's the only one not glowing even a little.

Zelos just grunts his assent and keeps walking, adjusting Lloyd carefully in his arms.]

[He continues watching and then something comes to mind, because his curiosity is getting the better of him after all this time.]

So call me curious, but I have to ask this because of that curiosity. Do you have feelings for Lloyd? You seem to act as though you do.

[If Zelos weren't as careful a person as he is, Lloyd would have gone sprawling on the pavement from the shock that question sends through the Chosen.]

What?! Where the hell did you get that idea?!

[It's a question he struggled with himself, not that he'll ever breathe a word to anyone, but he's never felt the way he feels about Lloyd before. That uncomfortable tightness whenever the kid does anything nice for him, the desire to protect him, to do what will make Lloyd happy not for any sort of gain but simply because, or even to do terrible things to keep him safe even if Lloyd ends up hating him forever.

It sounds a lot like love.

But there's no physical attraction there, not from his end at least. It's so completely and utterly different and foreign and baffling. The closest way he can term it something like he feels for Seles, the drive to protect someone at any cost.

So maybe it is love, but platonic love. Something he's never had returned, something he'll always wish he actually deserved but will return until Lloyd figures things out and leaves his life for people more worthy of his attention.]

It's not like that.

You always act so protective of him especially when it comes to me, I thought you might be interested that's all. Unless of course... You're simply jealous of my friendship with Lloyd and how close we've become. You think I'm going to steal Lloyd away from you, don't you?

[He might be giving Zelos a teasing smirk while lightly chuckling to himself. Seeing the other so flustered and embarrassed was something he sort of expected, but at the same time didn't.]

[Angelo gets a mighty scowl for his trouble.]

Look, I don't have to explain myself to you so I'm not gonna say this twice. Lloyd is my best bud so of course I'm gonna be looking out for his best interests. There's nothing romantic about wanting to protect your friend.

And you haven't exactly given me the best estimation of yourself here, Bucko. Let's see, you got him drunk and almost let him go toppling off a roof, and I see just how you work at the club. If I hear about you bringing a floozy around Lloyd's space, you bet your ass you'll be seeing stars sooner rather than later.

[Alright so maybe he didn't have to be quite that harsh, but Angelo caught him off guard with the romance thing and that put him in a foul mood with the implication. He knows what kind of person he is. Which means he sees the similarities in Angelo and it keeps him wary and distrustful even if it means the guy is always a hit at Golden Victory.

Call it a case of wanting to keep work and personal lives separate.]

[While it's true his reputation at the Golden Victory has become quite notorious and among the ladies he's seen as a wonder to behold, he doesn't like to flaunt that fact despite his behavior. Zelos' assumptions about him as well were quite annoying to say the least. Though he tries to let it slide and act cool, since he's not about to let the other get to his goat.]

I don't bring any ladies to the apartment, that's what I use the casino for when I get off work so my working at the club is separated from my home life. And while you seem to continually hang these moments over my head, I on the other hand wish to hold no ill-will towards you. Thus I will cease my teasing as it has gone on for far too long. However, I am still of the mindset that Lloyd is quite able to care for himself at the age he is, so he does not need protection. Of course, that's merely my opinion.

[He shrugs and begins walking ahead of Zelos, yet turns his head back to look at him for a brief time.]

Call me what you want or say whatever you will, but I have no intentions of involving Lloyd in my personal affairs unless I deem it so. Otherwise, he has no involvement in what I do.

He's capable, I'll give you that.

[The redhead glances down at the youth in his arms and hitches him up more so he doesn't fall, continuing on his way.]

But when you're whole world hinges on someone, you're gonna protect 'em. And I mean that literally; Lloyd saved, or is gonna save, our world. I'm not letting anyone jeopardize that, intentionally or otherwise.

[His tone goes hard again.]

And this has nothing to do with what you "deem so," buddy. You don't get a say in the matter, hands down.

[With that Zelos is completely done. Warning given, he sprouts his wings and flies off towards Ordo, not wanting Angelo to continue his petty accusations and prideful lip service. Where Lloyd was concerned, what Zelos said was gonna go and that's the long and short of it.

Y'know, as long as Lloyd didn't find out Zelos was meddling with his friends again.]
