19 ♐ Video ♐ Horse-herding Cat
[Action; Disciple only]
[It's just like any other day for Darkleer. He's just locked himself away in his room for the most part while Summoner slumbers away on his bed. After his matesprit had been kidnapped by the Highblood, he's been even more reluctant to leave his side.]
[So he simply sits at his workbench, sketching out the designs for the hive next door that they are going tosteal expand to.]
[Unfortunately, he has no idea that an oliveblooded cat is slowly making her way to him and shenanigans will happen...]
[Some time after those shenanigans, Darkleer appears on the network.]
[A very sheepish Darkleer, as a matter of fact, his hand lowering after giving some of his long hair a firm nervous tug. His shoulders are kind of tense.]
Ahem. So.
[A pause. Suddenly, somewhere from off-screen, a pair of hands start to bat at his arm which only makes him shrink back a bit more. Anyone familiar with Disciple may be able to identify those hands and arms as hers.]
I'm doing it, I'm doing it-! Ngh. [A small sigh.] Is... there anyone who is free today who would like to do something?
...That is out of my respite block.
...And my hive.

[He shifts slightly, holding it to her.]
Whenever you're ready.
no subject
Like this?
no subject
That should be good. Go on, then.

[Remember what she said about catching the ducks to feed them? Yes, that's exactly what she's flying off of Darkleer's lap to do now.]
no subject
[But Darkleer will just sit here, watching her in faint amusement.]

[Chasing ducks is apparently similar to chasing chickens, except even noisier and they manage to get away whenever they head into the water. Nepeta isn't going to get herself wet! But she isn't exactly trying very hard to be stealthy either, chasing after them and throwing bits of bread about to lure them in, laughing her head off. It's only sheer luck that has her managing to capture a rather placid duck in her arms and carry him over proudly to Darkleer.]

Are you quite sure this is how you feed quackbeasts?
no subject
[She looks down at the duck in her arms and it looks back up at her, letting out a quack.]
no subject
[That's just a guess, however. He doesn't really seem to care that much one way or another about it.]
no subject
[Quack, goes her duck.]
no subject
[Darkleer waves a little at the duck.]
no subject
...well, this seems to be working too! Do you want to pet him?
[Quack.]
no subject
[He pats the bench. Please do not be using him as a chair again, Nepeta.]
no subject
I think I'll call him Mortimer!
no subject
Are you going to keep the duck, Nepeta?
no subject
[There's some gentle petting to the duck's head and surprisingly it allows it, just ruffling up its feathers a little.]
no subject
Well, perhaps he will get along with Gamzee's goose.
no subject
[Good Dadleer, giving her an excuse to keep him.]
