[Video] Slightly backdated to early morning

[The feed opens on Tech, but there appears to be something in the side of the frame. What do you have there, Te--

. . . is that? Yes, it is. There appears to be an adult-like human attached to Tech’s hand.

A few citizens may recognize him to be Shulk. Shulk is peering over Tech’s shoulder curiously. But Tech is far too tired and frustrated to find the circumstances entertaining, at the moment. Well, mostly. He pulls their hands closer to the camera.]

Is anyone else having this problem?

[ooc: (later) responses may come from Shulk as well.]

[At least Shulk is more selective in his machine hateboners than Ky... But now that he thinks about it, when he used the Monado against the Mechon, he didn't really need to struggle for control over it. Strange. He hadn't noticed before.]

Initially... yes.

[He tries to think back on the past events. It's hard to think about the attack on Colony 9.]

I think... I stopped feeling adverse effects when the Monado gave me a clear vision. We were under attack at the time so it's hard to remember things clearly, but it couldn't have been more than a minute after I actually used the Monado.

So the visions are the likely a key in properly wielding the Monado. This is beginning to sound like a "destined hero" trope, if you ask me. I suppose we'll have to see if the adverse affects return. If they do, I'd suggest giving up the sword, if at all possible. There are no Mechon here, just robots.

[Destined hero? Him? Hah... Shulk nods.]

Yeah. I'll keep that in mind.

[...But what are robots... That's a question for another day. But hey introductions are in order because who is this guy anyway.]

I'm Shulk.

Dirk Strider. I'm Tech's coworker at the Defense Force.

[Of course, if he had been introduced by Tech, he probably would have been called the coyote's assistant. Not that he agrees with that assessment.]

[Ah... there's a Defence Force here, too? Shulk nods in acknowledgement.]

Pleased to meet you.

[To Tech.]

That sounds great! I've been researching the Monado for a long time, but I think another perspective would really help.

Likewise.

The technology we've put together here might be different from your world anyway. It can offer new insights.

[Shulk nods.]

Definitely.

[A pause, before he smiles.]

Thanks, for the help. Both of you.

What he said. Catch you around, Shulk.

Maybe later this week, if you're still stuck to Tech.

[Shulk gives a short laugh.]

I hope this doesn't last that long.

[But he nods.]

See you later.

[And with that, he ends that conversation with a click.]
