[Sarah hasn't been hungry or anything: she can easily enough convince the locals to give her the food she likes the taste of, like hot ketchup mixed with orange juice and steak sauce on blueberry scones, but she has started thinking about the fact that many of the people here aren't human. (Like her, but not.)]
What kind of foods are local to you? Is there anything that you're used to eating that you haven't been able to find here?
Like, I'm from New York, and we've got pretty good bagels there. Which is like bread with a hole in it.
[Bread products are always a safe bet, right?]
I think you can get it here, but I don't know if everyone could find that in their worlds, if they're not from Earth.
Or has there been anything you've never had before you got here that you've found really good?
Recommend me something, from your world or that you've only discovered here, if you feel like it.
[So she doesn't like a lot of things humans do (or not in the same ways they do), but that doesn't mean she won't try things.]

I suppose I have mostly found the food supplies I require. [Maybe not quite exactly what he's used to, but fair enough.] I do not find it too bad.
( video )
Surely just having what you require isn't the entirety of it.

From what I have heard, Americans did not keep up with the British tea time tradition. I will enjoy coffee from time to time, but tea is definitely my preference.

I take it somewhere near a coast, at least.

[Easier for a telepath, in many ways.]
But I wanted to study mathematics at a university, and there weren't any options near where I grew up.
[There were options closer than New York, but all birds must leave their nests.]

Why did you want to study mathematics?

It's really interesting. And it lets me take the subject on my own terms, change how I interact to get a solution, because the numbers can't be altered.

I do remember one of my first meals though. It was delicious. I still remember the feeling of contentment and satisfaction. I had found something that had been missing from my life.
Fish fingers dipped in custard.
[Video] - and then I took forever. So sorry
Where's that a delicacy?
[As a traveler, it could be a thing, after all.]
[Video] - It's okay, I haven't been able to get to tags lately either
Well... uh... no where really.
Something I kind of came up with during a visit to Earth. Leadworth, England - actually.

[She blinks at the SFC for a slow moment.]
Has it caught on with other people?

[He becomes a little more defensive of his creation.]
Most people have terrible taste in food. Can you believe that some people actually eat apples? Or beans?
It's like they're trying to poison themselves.
[Yes, she's definitely trying to subtly probe right now.]
Apparently a superior cardiovascular system is not the only thing separating me from humans. I also have a more sophisticated palate.
[Already to the probing each other stage and they don't even know each other's name. Fortunately for her, the Doctor isn't particularly subtle about hiding this kind of information.]

[Sarah has no heart, with a decentralized circulatory system that functions through a constant series of low muscular pulses, does that count?]
Do tell.
[Video] - Sorry for the disappearance!
Clearly better than one. Never hurts to have a back-up plan.
[He pats himself on the chest.]
