[Accidental Video/Text]
Ah..
[The video only shows the briefest flash of a face - deep jade eyes with a soft yellow glow, grey skin and black hair that's drenched down from its usual style and curled in wet tendrils around a confused and wary expression. She has been there for some time now, though quietly, getting her bearings, working out what this place might be and whether or not she truly is dead.
The answer to the last - and most pressing - of her concerns appears to be 'no', but of course that brings up a whole new set of questions and problems. No afterlife that she had ever heard of had been anything like this.
A moment later, after giving a clear view of her location - a quiet corner of the plaza - the video feed is ended. It's several more minutes before a text is sent out.]
If It Is Not Too Much Trouble.
I Would Appreciate Some Assistance.
[[ooc: Please feel free to respond however you like! Action is fine too :>]]

Wwhat do you need, exactly?
I might showw my wway clear to lendin' you a prong or twwo if you
Wwait.
[The girl he knew was far too young for her eyes to have turned, and for a second he sits frozen, and actually rewinds the video to play it again, to be sure he didn't make a mistake.]
You'd be the Dolorosa.
Am I right?
Be clear that I wwon't take silence or lyin' vvery wwell, so just answwer me clearly an be done wwith it so I don't havvve to come in search a you.

Orphaner Dualscar.
If You Wish Anything Of Me You Will Have To Inconvenience Yourself By Finding Me.

As such, he strides into the plaza not long after the messages were exchanged, looking around for her]
Girl! Showw yourself. I mean you no harm, but wwe havve to talk!
no subject
[Yet there she is, standing as tall and proudly as she can manage in her current condition. When she lays eyes on him she lets out a slow breath, as if to steady herself.]
I will not be made a slave to you again.
no subject
He walks towards her, his cape swirling around his feet, his armour gleaming, but he stops a distance from her.]
I havve no need of a slavve, Dolorosa. Certainly not one as displeasin' an rebellious as you.
[He pauses] Wwhat's the last thing you remember before you came here?
no subject
Instead, her eyebrows draw together and she looks away from him, one hand moving up to rest against her ribs., A phantom pain twinged there.]
I was mortally wounded. It was not by chance.
no subject
[There's truly no question now, and he says the words flatly and in a clipped tone.
He draws himself up, and speaks quickly.]
You should knoww that a lot has changed since your death. Signless, Psiioniic an Disciple are all here, and...and things havve changed betwween us. Things are different wwith me, than wwhen wwe last saww each other.
no subject
If any harm has come to them by your hand, seadweller, I will see you suffer for it.
[Someone stop her before she completely gets the wrong idea.]
no subject
I havven't hurt a hair on their heads! Signless is my fuckin' moirail, an Psiioniic livves with us at my hivve. That's wwhat I'm tryin' to explain! I'm no threat to you, understand?
no subject
[He's lying. He has to be! But her little one, with his blood.. why would one like Dualscar lie about something like that and least of all to her? She rests her hand against the nearest thing that she can use to support herself - a wall, a pillar, she doesn't care as long as it doesn't fall down.]
... I understand.
no subject
He nods, folding his arms across his chest and looking her up and down]
You look fuckin' terrible. Signless is gonna go spare wwhen he sees you. [His eyes narrow] He already knowws wwhat I did to you, an forgivves me, so don't think you'll drivve a wwedge betwween us. He's mine.
no subject
[She grates the words out, glaring at him and drawing herself straight again. Physically, she's well, but she's tired and mentally exhausted, and it's all she can do to keep up this wall against him.]
But I will speak with him of it, and of your actions towards me. I will not have him be left without the full tale.
[A tiny smile touches her lips.]
Do not fear, Orphaner, I will not take him from you.. if you will promise me the same courtesy.
no subject
no subject
[She gazes at him steadily, for a long moment of silence, then takes his arm, closing her fingers over it.]
... Thank you, Dualscar.
no subject
He pats her hand lightly, smirking, and begins to lead her in the direction of his hive.]
Wwhat are you thankin' me for?
no subject
Your help. I am not without social graces.
no subject
no subject
You must have been here for some time.
no subject
no subject
[Something in her is soothed by hearing that, though she would be better served by knowing that Mindfang had been given her comeuppance. That, however, can wait.]
And half a sweep was all that it took to bring such change in you. I am being further convinced that I am dreaming.
no subject
You're not dreamin', and I'm not that different. Signless wwill probably say somethin' ridiculous, like that I'vve been changed by bein' showwn happiness or some other rubbish. [Which is basically the truth, it's just hard for him to admit it]
no subject
[She smiles, clasping her free hand over his arm along with the other as they walk.]
Happiness can alter much. Are you sure that he is not so far from the truth?
no subject
He's a smart one, but too idealistic.
no subject
She looks up at him, jade eyes soft, curious, and shakes her head.]
Alternia was not ready for one such as he. Perhaps, one day, it will be.
no subject
Vvery unlikely. Especially so long as She is still our Imperious Condescension.
