[video- 001]
[A video feed begins to flicker to life from a StarFish Communicator, that, oddly enough, seemed to be on the ground. It showed at image of a park in the city, with a.... oddly dressed boy with brown hair that seemed to defy gravity, sitting down on a bench. The youth was wearing what looked to be a white toga, with a red piece of cloth, and brown shoulderpads, brown armbands an a thin, gold band around his upper right arm, as well as brown leg braces and sandals, and a necklace with a thick jewel of green crystal. with a brochure in hand, the boy seemed a little confused, unsure of what should be his next move. He seemed a bit wrapped up in everything, not even noticing the device on the ground transmitting this, until a shine from it caugh his eye.]
What's this?
[the boy picks up the Starfish communicator and begins to play with it, gently.]
A video feed? Ummm..... Hi there. I don't know how I ended up here or with this mark on my left arm, but, I guess I should find a place to stay before it gets too dark, I guess.
I read that Brochure, and well, I still don't understand anything yet. Why am I here? ANd more importantly, what should I even do now? Maybe, maybe I should just try to fit in around here.... after all, this isn't the first time I've lost a home...
Hopefully the people around here aren't too bad...But I can always just help out and make friends that way I guess! This weird things been recording this video, so maybe someone been watching, I better keep in on me if someone tries to contact me, like the old 3G pager!
{Mamoru turns the video feed off before securing the Starfish Communicator in his old backpack from school on Earth.]

Do you need some help, little one?
Re: voice;
Hi there, Umm, I guess so. I'm just a little confused since I just arrived not too long ago. Right now I'm mostly taking a look around, trying to find a place to stay, and then maybe find something to do. This place looks amazing, especially from how I'm seeing it.
[The voice was youthful and nervous, but had a kind tone to it. Mamoru kind of regretted a bit of that last sentence, hoping it wouldn't raise suspicions.]
voice;
It is an amazing place, although it's not always the easiest to live in. There are many places to stay, and you don't have to choose right now. If you like, there are hotels where you can relax for a few days until you get your bearings, and you can decide on a more permanent home then.
Re: voice;
Oh, Thanks for your help. Maybe I could help you with something in return for possibly showing me around or helping me out. Once I settled in, I was going to help out in any way I could anyway. The Brochure said something about jobs or things that need to be done around here? I may be young, but given my unique.... abilities and this situation we're in, maybe they'll be willing to accept my help! Maybe with those Starfish Token things I can get that might help me build a good home away from home if the Hotel's a little too cramped.
voice;
Well, you certainly could use the tokens for that, but you don't really have to. Most of the materials around will be free to you, if you show the mark on your arm. The same goes for housing, so don't feel like you're limited on where you decide to stay.
And I'm sure you could find a job if you wanted one; they're not too hard to come by.
Re: voice;
I guess I could start by renovating one of those abandoned houses I saw earlier. It kinda looked like my old house, I could probably fix it up.
But, it kind of worries me, why are there so many broken down and abandoned houses?
voice;
Sometimes, people here leave, and they leave their homes behind. If there's no one to care for the houses, they are just abandoned and fall into disrepair.
Re: voice;
[Mamoru however, feels like there is more to this, some parts of the city look way worse off than simple disrepair]
Does anything, you know... dangerous happen here?
voice;
[The kid is pretty sharp, so Sufferer might as well explain this.]
Remember how I said that living in Vatheon isn't always easy? About every two weeks, a curse happens. Sometimes you won't be affected by it; other times you will be. Sometimes the curses are nice, or silly, or harmless. Other times, they can be very frightening, or dangerous. We just don't know what will happen.
Re: voice;
Whatever the curses end up doing.... I'll do whatever I can to help out. No matter what it is... I won't let this place be destroyed or anyone here get hurt that easily!
voice;
You will fit in just fine around here, then. May I ask your name, little one? You can call me Sufferer.
Re: voice;
I'm Mamoru! Mamoru Amami. Or at least that's the name my foster parents gave me.
It's nice to meet you, Sufferer!
voice;
The pleasure is all mine, Mamoru. Please let me know if you have any other questions or need any help getting yourself set up.
Re: voice;
video;
I wouldn't worry about the people here. A lot of them are rather friendly and helpful.
Re: video;
Yeah, I suppose you're right, the people at this inn have been really helpful, and they fed me a really big meal, too! I'll have to find some way I can help out around here to return the favor.

Re: video;

Are you alright? Do you need some help? I only just arrived here myself, and there is still so much I don't understand, but you'll find everyone here to be extremely helpful and informative.
Re: video;
Oh, I think I'm a bit better now. Someone else kinda explained some stuff to me, and that's why I'm trying to settle into this house and trying to fix it up. I still feel a little confused and worried, though. But I'll try to get my bearings soon enough. I'm going to start looking for ways I can help out as well. Is there anything I could do to help you out?
[the boy appeared a little bit dizzy and had to sit down.]
I am feeling a little weak and light-headed, though, maybe I kinda pushed myself too hard looking around this place and working on this house, maybe I used my powers a bit too much. I should probably go touch that coral, huh?
video;
[ She nods at the mention of the coral. She heard it was capable of some pretty amazing things, complete and total rejuvenation being one of them! ]
Definitely! You should probably visit it soon. It'll help.
Re: video;
There we go, thankfully it's easy enough to get to where the Coral is. Thanks for worrying about me, but, I'll try to take care of myself. I gotta keep myself in better shape though, so I can help everyone else.
Oh, my name is Mamoru Amami, or at least... that's one of my names. Thank you for your help. Again, my offer to help you out with whatever is still there, just contact me if you ever need anything!
video;
[ She nods, her smile softening. Such a generous, compassionate youth- she already admires him because of that. ]
If I'm ever in need of assistance, I won't hesitate to ask. In the meantime, have all of your questions about this place been answered?
