[There's quite a bit of shaking, fiddling and on/off before the video finally turns on properly, showing the face of a young boy no older than seventeen or eighteen with completely silver-white hair and amber eyes. He seems to be struggling a little with the SFC, but for the moment he has it figured out enough to broadcast properly.
A starfish is certainly different than the advanced PDAs he's used to dealing with.
A few seconds after staring at it with a confused expression (and moving it back and forth a few times for a very... interesting zoom in and to on his right eye), he finally pulls it back and breaks in to a warm, friendly smile.]
I think I have it now!
Maa... difficult thing, but cute.
[Realizing he's just sort of rambling, he stops and clears his throat.]
Well, I've been settled in for a few days. I suppose it's time for a proper introduction.

[He's not sure what else to say just yet, but a glance behind him (in the direction of his sadly empty kitchen) reminds him...]
And... I hate to be a pest so soon, but would anyone by chance have a rice cooker I could borrow? I wasn't able to find one that didn't require those... tokens, and I don't have any that I can spend yet. I'm a terrible cook, I'm afraid, and I'd rather not starve.
... or burn down my new house!
[He lets out a sheepish little laugh at that, scratching at the back of his head.]
