[ N is still not fully used to holidays as they are in Vatheon, but he is getting better. He understands from what he has been told that one of the objects of this Valentine's Day celebration that is coming up is to find a Valentine for one's self.

So he is doing so in the most efficient way possible.

This week, left for all of his friends, is a card with their name on it and N's own name signed on the bottom. ]

[N will get Tieria's card back by the end of the day, left on his doorstep. "Maybe" is checked off, with a little neatly written note on some blank space...

"What is a valentine?"]

[Hello N. Of course Canada's sending back a response marked 'yes.'

...except he also marked 'only if' and scratched the 'only if' part out and added an additional 'Kuma would like to be your valentine, too.'

Because it totally worked that way.]

[It's hard for her to write a response, but she does!

She thanks him for sending the card, though she asks what "Valentine" is supposed to mean. It is riddled with misspellings.]

[This was not what he had had in mind when he'd told the boy to ask a friend. And, Johnny being Johnny, put more value in face-to-face interactions than video interactions, so he went into 'swarm of bats' mode and searched around for N.

When Johnny found him, he reformed and walked up to him, the letter in one hand.]

N....what's this? [Purely curious tone.]

[ Haro brings a message in return. One is another piece of paper with N's written, "It's a day to spend time with people you like and learn more about them!" In addition, however, because it seems to be a very complicated cultural experience, Haro pops up all the research N has done on Valentine's Day for Tieria. ]

[ Another small card, this just one with a little heart on the front, is returned. On the inside is written a cheerful 'Of course!'

He had no problem with that at all. ]

[That was clearly a satisfactory response as Kuma was happily pawing at N's door next, a (slightly chewed) flower in his mouth as a present of acceptance.]

[ Though it takes N a while to decipher her message, he gets it soon enough. He responds back with another card, this one small and heart-shaped. A neat little explaination is written inside: ]

It's a day you can spend with a special person or with your friends to get to know more about them!

[ N had not expected Johnny to show up, but he did not seem displeased. He looked up from where he was working in the yard of the warehouse he had taken over, a smile crossing his face. ]

Oh! It's a Valentine's Day Card. I read you send them out before Valentine's Day.

[ Simple as that. ]

[ not ... quite ... sure how to respond to this. N is totally adorable really sweet, but after doing some research on the holiday and realizing what the holiday was about, she realized she ... kind of ... already had a valentine. one that would hopefully be her valentine for the rest of her life.

oh, but this sort of thing is always difficult.

eventually, she checks the 'no' option, then writes.

"I don't mean anything bad by it, because you're really nice. I just don't think my boyfriend would be okay with me having more than one valentine." ]

[Akihiko just kind of stares at the card, scratching the back of his head. He recognizes N's name, knowing he was one of the people who originally welcomed him to Vatheon. A rather unusual individual at that... So what's he supposed to do with this?

Solution - he checks nothing, instead writing on the dotted line.

[Kisa recieves the card and smiles as she opens it. She hasn't gotten one before well...besides from her family. So as she reads it she checks 'yes' and adds a note.]

This is my first Valentine.

[Sissel still can't read, but he does smell N on the card, so he picks it up in his mouth and heads towards his house, sitting on the front porch and scratching at the door.]

He spends about five minutes staring at the card until he finally checks "yes."
And "only if..."

Hmm.

"Only if you prove you love me." With a winking smiley face!]

[Cheren stares at the card for a while, since really, he isn't one for Valentine's Day (the most he's ever done was send his friends small gifts when he was younger, as that's what kids do, you know). So when he gets the card, instead of choosing one of the responses, he writes in:

"What's this all about?"

and sends Unfezant to carry it back to N.]

[ The door soon opens, and the second N sees Kuma he beams. ]

It isn't Valentine's Day yet!

[ That, however, does not stop him from scooping the bear up into his arms. ]

Then I'll see you on Valentine's Day!

[ And he will bring treats. ]

[ N wirtes back, his words cheery. Apparently he did not take offense; he did not mean his invitation in the way he might of thought. ]

That's okay! You're supposed to spend Valentine's with your special person if you have one.

[ Another note comes in return, delivered by Pidgey mail. Apparently N has bought stationary for this entire affair. ]

[ Pidgey-mail soon returns a response on pink paper. ]

Do you like making cookies? Apparently lots of people make cookies for Valentine's Day!

[ It's an obvious invitation, in N-speak. Come make cookies with him, Minato! ]

[Quite happily, Kuma's immediately snuggling into N's arms.

Canada's lurking nearby, smiling.] I couldn't tell him no.

She's doing very well! She decided to stay with me, though I take her up to the ocean sometimes!
