cake 2. [video]
Whew! That sure was an extended nap I took. Well, I woke up a few days ago but I didn't really have anything of substance to say. There were a ton of kids running around, but I guess that is supposed to be normal here? Strange things happening?
[She has had to let go a little, she knows this isn't normal. She doesn't like it either. This entire place still really made absolutely zero sense to her. She could have a lot to say to Jake, Roxy, and Dirk. The living room was a little untidy when she finally decided to rise again. But that wasn't really anything of importance and she could have scolded them directly. But no! What she has to say is a bit more important. She fixtes her SFC camera so it's facing the pile of goodies on the counter.[]
I have jars of cookie mix just laying around. I meant to hand them out around the holidays but never got the chance. They come with instructions and only require about three extra ingredients not in the jar. If you would like one please contact me, and I would be happy to take it out to you.
[One last question...]
Golly. There is one more thing befuddling my noggin! About that "extended nap" [air quotes] I took. Is that normal? Normally people don't sleep for more than a week. [This is the week Jane starts to question the "normality" of Vatheon...]

[action] lets pretend I understand robots
[Dirk gestures to a joint on the in-progress robot.]
This connects the mechanics itself, but there's a shitton of wires threading through to carry information and shit.
[action] yes good.
I'm supposing the wires have to be attached carefully and one by one?
[action]
Yeah, but they're not the fiddly parts. There's more complicated joints to deal with, and there's making sure that the wires aren't going to get caught in the joints and snapped.
[action]
So say if I connected something right, but didn't..place it right? It could snap?
[action]
Or it could fuck up the joint entirely. That's why things have to be kept separated.
[action]
Oh, no no! We certainly wouldn't want that then.
[action]
[Dirk shrugs.]
It's best if the design doesn't allow for the possibility.
[action]
[action]
Not quite. See, with Seb, I was building around a plush interior, so I had to compensate for that. The wires were less likely to get caught than his actual plush body.
[action]
[She looks at the paper.]
So everything else if from scratch, and Seb had some sort of base. Interesting. How do you install...things like, functions?
[action]
That's more to do with programming than building the body, and that depends on the robot.
[action]
There are so many kinds, it's really kind of overwhelming. But we can take it a step at a time.
[action]
[Clearly, this calls for a fist bump.]
[action]
I say we make it happen!
