004 - [Accidental Video]
[The video feed opens onto what was once a living room but which at this point is better described as a sty. Discarded food wrappers, game cartridges, and open books litter the floor. If Laharl owned more clothes, there would probably be dirty laundry, too, but thankfully there's just one pair of shoes in there somewhere.
A large television is the primary source of light in the room. Incongruously, a plush rabbit sits atop the TV, looking a little worse for wear.
The center of the room is occupied by an open coffin, where Laharl is sitting cross-legged, a controller in his hands. He looks to be playing an underwater racing game and, of course, growling to himself as he plays.]
Stupid seahorse, get the hell out of my way.

Stupid seahorse, get the hell out of my way.
Action
[Sola retreats for a bit to stuff the garbage bag down the apartment building's chute, then returns and perches himself right in front of the tv.]
Let's race so I can prove I'm better than you!
[Meh.]
Action
Oi, don't block the screen. You trying to cheat to win?
[Not that Laharl wouldn't cheat, but that doesn't mean he can't call Sola on it.]
Action
[He scoots over to prove the point, allowing Laharl to see the screen as he picks up his controller.]
It's you who'd better not cheat.
Action
[He's confident he can win without it as he selects the course.]
Try not to be a sore loser.

It's also probably why he rockets past Laharl's crashed fish and right across the finish line. Sola jumps up and waves his controller over his head.]
Yes!! Suck it!
[No one ever said he was a gracious winner.]
Action
[And no one said Laharl wasn't a sore loser. He's growling, but to his credit, he doesn't throw anything at Sola.]
Let's play another one, I'll get you this time.
Action
[Smirking in an annoyingly superior way, Sola plops back down and chooses the seahorse this time, just to be a jerk.]
Action
[Muttergrumble. He chooses a different course and picks the shark this time.]
Action
[Ding... ding... ding! And they're off! Sola shoots ahead but immediately gets stuck behind a well placed group of kelp.]
Damnit, no!
Action
[Laharl pulls ahead of him, though he's not yet in the lead. But he's not exactly concerned as long as Sola's behind him.]

You cheated!

Action
[Argh! Sola shoves his hand in Laharl's face, 3 fingers up.]
Best two out of three! Whoever loses this one has to do chores for the other person for a week!
Action
Hm... Deal.
[Of course he assumes he'll win, but good luck getting him to keep his end of the bargain if he doesn't.]
Action
This is no longer a game, this is war.]
Action
Action
He jumps up triumphantly, holding the controller aloft.]
YES! Take that, Laharl!
Action
This doesn't even count! It's just a stupid game!
Action
Ow!
It does too count! We made a deal, Laharl!
