[He was cranky thanks to his sleeping pattern being disturbed. He was getting snappy and decided to slink off for a nap close to noon.]

[Vanitas’ dream was located at some badlands. The main character was front and center dressed in clothes that weren’t really his. Surrounding him was at least a dozen of menacing looking shadow creatures. Vanitas was holding a weird keyblade that looked like it was being held weird. His expression was far from his normal as well. He was looking scared and desperately trying to plea with an old man standing over the whole scene.]

Please don't do this, Master. I'm not strong enough.

[ His “Master” didn’t seem bothered at all by the possible danger.]

No. It is because you are trying to hold it in. Let the dark impulses waken in the pit of your heart. Release them, here and now! Sharpen your fear into rage.

[ More creatures started to appear.]

You must! If you do not let the storm within you run its course, it will wipe you from the face of the world, make no mistake!

[The fear was clear on the boy’s face. He was trying to step back to get away from the ones moving closer. He was looking every where for some place to escape, but there was no where to run.]

Do it. Embrace the darkness. Produce for your Master the X-blade!

[The creatures pounced. And the boy could only guard his face as he yelled.

Everything went completely dark for a moment.

Vanitas was lying there unmoving on his side.]

Really? You would rather die than use the power? Feckless neophyte.

[As his Master spoke the last two words, he used his foot to roll Vanitas over on to his back.]

If I must... I will extract the darkness from within you myself.

[Keyblade was held above the boy. It looks like he was about to deliver a finishing blow.

Everything faded to black as Vanitas let out a pained sound.

He woke up violently. Panicking as he didn’t recognize the room for the first moment and feeling restrained. He had managed to tangle himself in to the blankets. As he kicked and fought them off, he wound up falling head first out of bed.]

[It's so... weird, seeing Vanitas act that way. Despite his appearance, Roxas thinks this must be one of Ventus's memories. Although... if Vanitas still thinks of the two of them as one, then maybe he still thinks of this as his own memory, too.

Roxas thinks for a while before saying anything. Because he wants to say something, but he's sure Vanitas won't want any kind of sympathy from him.]

...y'know, you might still be able to filter it. Before everyone sees.

I'm not even sure how it posted in the first place.

[Grumbling. It might be a little late for that, and he couldn't find a way to even remove it.] It's probably another stupid curse.

[A pause, more fumbling for what to say.]

I guess most people'll be caught up in their own stuff anyway.

[Making a low hum for a response.

And then he'll notice something peculiar.] Looks like it had to do with those new buttons on the communicator. Figures.

[They were missing now. He'll flip the SFC over to scope out it's back. Roxas will get a nice view of a messy desk, but the rest of the room was pretty bare.]

[As he does so, Roxas realizes something else odd.]

...is that- your room?

[Sure, it's sparse, but definitely not a couch or a rooftop.]

Nah. It's the alchemist's room.

[He wasn't happy with his...friend at the moment.]

...mine isn't ready. [Yes, he does have a room now officially!]

[Roxas isn't sure what an alchemist is, but it's not hard to figure out who he means anyway. He smiles a little bit.]

You guys are still putting up with each other, huh?

Off and on.

[Enough to actually move in]

Don't see it lasting long, but that doesn't matter.

[This was weird.] Did your stupid date turn out to be a disaster?

You probably didn't see yourself moving in either.

[You guys are totally friends.

Oh shoot, now Vani is redirecting. Did you really want him to get this dumb look on his face?]

It- went okay, actually.

He asked.

[Probably wasn't helping his case, but he'll just put the blame squarely on Kimblee.

All of Roxas' faces were dumb, okay?]

And here I was hoping to get new material. [He'll find something to mock. Soon. mo-om]

You didn't have to say yes.

[Not helping at all, nope.]

Guess you'll have to figure something out on your own. [He's sure you will. Although this is possibly the longest conversation they've had without Vani insulting him...]

Didn't have a reason to say no. He was offering free breakfast.

[And he had time to kill for a bit there.]

Maybe I should bother your friend, hmm?

Isn't there a saying about the way to someone's heart being through their stomach?

[Seems like this might be true for Vanitas.]

You keep coming back. He's bound to say or do something. [Especially the do part. They do tend to fight when they see each other.]

[...that hadn't occurred to him at the time, but.] Couldn't hurt anything.

[He's assuming the friends thing was about Axel doing something.]

He might wind up killed over it.

Then you would be, too.

I'm willing to take the consequence. [He has already been killed for killing others. Only difference would be he might be handicapped temporarily in some way.]

Wouldn't that be a little embarrassing for you? Getting killed by someone who looks like your "weaker" half?

I seriously doubt you can beat me. You needed help last time, moron. [A pause.] If you did manage a miracle, it just means I will go after you again until I finish you off.
