Certainly.

[ A pause. ]

I don't suppose you would care to hear for your alternate self, while we're in the topic?

There is an alternate self to match every ancestor of the twelve players of the game. I believe the terminology for our group is the Dancestors, a mash-up of Ancestor and Descendant, considering that we both share those relationships similarly with the opposite group.

[ Kankri once again notices, but goes on regardless. ]

Think about it as four separate groups, all with a member of a blood color located in the hemospectrum, mutant -- please note that this is an expression that should not be thrown around so carelessly, as it might trigger a plethora of people -- blood included. You have the group of Beforus, the "pre-scratch" incarnation of Alternia, where I hail from, along with my group of players, which are called the "beta" players. In Beforus are also found ancestral versions of the "alpha" group of players, that is, the group to which Karkat belongs to. Now, after our group made the scratch occur, an alternate version of Beforus was created in an alternate version of our universe, which was cleverly named "Alternia" by an omniscient entity who had a hand in its eventual demise. In that incarnation of our planet resided the Alpha group of players, and the ancestral versions of my own group, for example, you, or the Signless.

[ He smiles a bit. ]

You pre-scratch self was named Cronus Ampora, for all that it matters.

[ That's him going easy on you, Dualscar. And that's the short explanation. Had Dualscar not revealed any knowledge of the game, he'd have gotten an entire explanation on it. ]

Well, I do suppose, like you point out with me and The Signless, that, whilst sharing a body and a mind, no two people are alike, and so seems to be the case with you and your other self.

[ How's he going to put this... ]

A quick, harmless questions: Do you spend your time desperately seeking romantic attention from anyone that will give you the time of day?

Well then, that goes to support my claims of no two people being alike, even despite being each other.

[ In his own way, he just described Cronus in essence. Sorry that it had to be him breaking the news to you Dscar. ]

There is a thin line dividing mockery and the factual truth.

[ He pauses. ]

Though you mustn't judge him only for his permanent lack of quadrants. He's got a... er... penchant for music, and when he tries, he can be an engaging and interesting person.
