Dualscar, I Wonder If I Might Have A Few Moments Of Your Time?
Thank You For The Gift.

I only meant to try to guess wwhat you wwanted.
But I'm flattered you find me charmin.
There's a restaurant I like, wwhich servves the best seafood in the bubble.
Wwill you meet me there?
no subject
Might I Have The Name So I Can Find It?
no subject
He rises and takes her hand as she approaches, kissing it]
I hope the table is to your liking. Havve you had seafood before?
no subject
So, when she meets him, she's taken some time in making herself presentable, and the kiss to her hand is met with a demure smile, followed by a chuckle.]
It would be a strange thing if I had not, do you not think? Though the meals I recall were taken from the sea, I am not sure they could be categorised as 'food'. This promises to be an interesting experience.
no subject
He smiles and re-seats himself]
Wwell, the meals here are definitely food. Wwhat kind a things you might a eaten from the sea wwhich wweren't food, I can't imagine.
no subject
I would not like to spoil your appetite by regaling you with such tales. What would you recommend?
no subject
Land glubbers just don't knoww howw to eat fish properly. Wwell... There's a good salmon, wwith grains an a sort a potato crust. It's easy for first-timers, an tasty. It'll go wwell wwith the wwine, too. Wwould you like a glass?
[He lifts the bottle and offers it to her]
no subject
Well, it would be poor judgement of me to refuse the recommendation of a seadweller when it comes to fish.
[She nods, then, and indicates her glass with a small gesture.]
Only a little. It is not something that I am used to.
no subject
So tell me, wwhy did you wwish to meet wwith me? Other than my charmin' personality a course.
no subject
Truly? Curiosity. I did not understand the purpose of the gift at first, until a little investigation informed me of the human holiday that fell on that day. Although, it was the note which drew my notice more. I had never expected an apology from you.
no subject
no subject
I see. For what it may be worth to you, then, your apology is wholeheartedly accepted.
no subject
It's wworth a lot, actually. I wwouldn't a apologized if I didn't mean it.
no subject
Somehow, I did not think so. It is appreciated, though I did not expect remorse for something that was an accepted part of our culture. I will of course offer my own apology for any grievance that I may have caused. I know I have not been the most accommodating, particularly when it comes to matters concerning Signless.
no subject
He waves a hand dismissively]
Considerin' wwhat I did to you, nothin' you'vve done has been of any kind a importance. Actually, I wwouldn't a been surprised to see you far more hostile, but you'vve been all but swweet since you arrivved.
Anywway, I wwouldn't say I'm remorseful, exactly. You're right that it's accepted an it's wwhat I wwas meant to do. I can't be blamed for that. But all that bein' said, I don't properly feel it's right, noww, so that's wwhat I meant by the apology.
no subject
I may have been more hostile had you not caught me so utterly off guard upon my arrival here. I had certainly expected the same from you, and you have even been what I might call patient.
[She smiles, tilting her head to one side.]
I think that it is a decided improvement.
no subject
I can be vvery patient wwhen it suits me. An wwhen there's no need to be impatient.
no subject
There is a different pace to things here, is there not? Impatience seems to be a thing which is unnecessary.. most of the time.

With much success? [She's gently teasing him as she asks that, watching his finger move around the rim of his glass.] He has been good for you, I think, though I could not have predicted the match.
no subject
I nevver wwould a thought it, either. But I credit Signless for it, really. He puts up wwith me, and he is good to me, alwways. His patience convvinced me to givve him the chance.
no subject
I would say that I taught him well, but so much of it came from him. All he needed from me was guidance in his early years.
