[Yeah that might be a problem. It seems he's on the beach and dress appropriately for the location, if not the weather. Tight swimming trunks cling to his legs, and what appears to be the bite mark of a shark is on one muscular arm. He doesn't seem much bothered by it- in fact, there's just the occasional wince as he pulls a tooth out. Just one more scar to add to what seems like a collection of them. Also noticeable would be a pendant that seems to be hanging around his throat... Hm.]

I've been meaning to ask this, but my schedule has been rather full up until now.

[Translation: I've been focusing on all my robots like a workaholic freak and trying to hide from weird romance problems.]

However, right now I have a bit of time while I'm working on something on the island. [In the water, more correctly, but details.] Would anyone be interested in learning basic medical skills? For example, how to assist someone who has drowned or how to stop a wound from bleeding.

It's better off to leave complete treatment to a more professional individual, such as our... esteemed head nurse, but skills such as these can help keep a situation from getting worse.

[There's a pause as he inspects his arm, now devoid of any shark teeth. Something seems to just *pop* out from his sylladex and he puts the modified omni-tool onto his good wrist. Don't mind him as he holds it over the bleeding wound and... wow that sure is some automatic healing going on. Technology is great, he loves technology.]

Well, considering this is a duplicate of something my matesprit wore for a curse, then yes, there is. Unfortunately, the shop where I got some of the basic supplies has disappeared from the Nostalgia Quarter. One would have to use other items and their own wits.

That sounds like one hell of a challenge. Can't say I'm too familiar with the sorta things you can find the stores around here, but if you're outta luck, getting your hands on certain substitute parts could take years.

The Nostalgia Quarter is a part of Vatheon which is constantly undergoing change, putting in new items from new worlds every day, if not every few hours. I make it a point to at least send a robot to investigate.

[Bahhh, the Nostalgia Quarter. Bro's so bummed by the fact that things there aren't free. Maybe someday, he'll find a job here in Vatheon that he can do just by being himself, so he can watch the tokens roll in without having to do squat. He's just not sure what. He gets the feeling the market for puppet porn isn't too great around here.]

What kinda job you got that lets you afford all those spare parts?

I work in a bookstore when I spare the time. It's... quiet.

I also send my robots out to do tasks to earn payment as well.

I prefer to base them off of animals, as there are a variety of forms that provide interesting challenges.

Animals, huh? Just bigger ones like dogs, or stuff like birds and rodents too?

All sorts. I've even made insects as a gift for a young man. I still have to see if he's found the way to control them... [A brief smile.] He's clever, so I should hope so by now.

[The dog straightens up a bit, serious in every bit of its body language. Bro isn't someone registered firmly in its database yet, so it's not exactly trusting while on guard duty.]

[It's a good thing Bro has no intention of touching the dog. If it were a cute chihuahua robot, then maybe, but not a hound like this one. He'll just observe it from a safe distance.

But wow, insect robots. It's gotta be the most frustrating little chore to build something teeny tiny like that. Unless they're ten times the size of real insects, in which case it'd be kind of eerie.]

Man... Must be a lotta technology in the Nostalgia Quarter that makes stuff from my own world look like ancient relics.

If it makes you feel any better, then it also has a lot of things from worlds where they haven't gotten that far yet. With others, the technology is really very mixed. No television, for example, but complex robots. It's quite intriguing to see how it could have developed.

Huh... Makes me wonder if my world's got something that others don't. Or at least the best variation of it.

Each world seems to be unique, even if it is just a different variation of Earth. I'm sure there's something. It's just a matter of figuring out what it is.

[Oh, how he hopes Plushrump is one of those unique things.]

I'm guessin' the world you're from is pretty different from Earth?

Yes. Alternia. A very.... different culture from that of humans, I've learned.

[Hey now. Plushrump is his own personal empire. If it exists in some other world, that means someone who isn't him is running it. Unless it's an alternate version of himself- then he might be able to make peace with it.]

...There are other species with their own cultures on other planets that we have encountered, yes.

Yes. Our ships were rather advanced, and we have a rather large population.

[Because like rabbits. It is very easy to die on Alternia, so you need a lot of trolls.]

That's pretty rad. In my own world, we can't get manned ships much further than the moon.

[He gives up on watching the dog and pushes himself to his feet again, placing both hands against the small of his back as he stretches himself a little.]

I've read about it. It's been no doubt centuries since Alternia was on that level..

[The robodog narrows its glowing blue eyes as Bro stands up. Yeah, that's right, you back away.]

I'd consider the possibility that Earth might reach Alternia's level someday, but uh... We had a little problem with meteors and shit. [He's not sure just how much of the planet got destroyed. He was a little too busy fending off the meteor that was headed straight for the apartment to pay attention to the greater scale of things.]
