...I'm starting to wonder if this 'curse' should come with a manual. I'm only familiar with the little media Ratchet was able to show me from time to time, and even then I didn't understand most of it.

It could probably use one. It's pretty basic compared to some of the games I've seen, though.

It looks like for this there's... six classes.

Warriors - basic fighters, mostly swordsmen, some other weapons users. Very little magic.

Rouge - thief, sneaky types that rely on a lot of stealth and cunning and basically everything I don't have (I'm a warrior, by the way)

Cleric - healing and magic types

Mage - purely magic, think wizards or sorcerers

Beast Master - just like it sounds like, has an animal companion it can use to battle with

Bard - entertainer, musician, usually kept around to give like... moral boosts and stuff to the rest of their party.

How's that for a manual?

Though I do have one question: why are only a majority of us affected, such as yourself? Is this due to certain traits an inhabitant might have, or...?

I've heard the city, or this 'Coral', as it were, runs of its own volition. Maybe there's just more of an affinity towards some, rather than the populace as a whole.

IE: You're trapped in silly feathers and pointy shoes, while I'm safe.

Not sure if it just magically teaches you how to play or not. I already knew how to use a sword so this isn't a stretch for me.

But after it's over you could always ask some one to give you lessons. I know a few musicians from work.

Then I can only pray for the man who woke with the carnivorous beast in his room, if you're not granted your abilities from the get-go.

Though now I beg the question - what type of work are you referring to? Are you part of this Defense Force I hear so much about?

If he kills it he'll be without a companion and then he's left out of everything. I mean if he wants that, sure, but I don't recommend it.

Besides, with this curse that alchemy crap he does probably won't work. I know my powers are gone right now, too.

The currency are things called tokens. You don't need them, but if you want things that you'd normally find from your world, or items that aren't basic you do have to pay for them. Working helps you get tokens.

...something tells me he won't be particularly heartbroken if that were to happen. But you keep talking about 'powers' - am I the only one to only rely on physical strength?

I couldn't care less about items from my own universe, if they weren't beneficial to me, but the idea of having my wrench and something to look forward to everyday is an intriguing concept. What types of 'jobs' are available?

No. Everyone's different. A lot of people from my world are just normal humans without any powers like mine.

You can ask on the network later. I've been working for almost a year now so I kinda lost track of what's available. There is the Defense Force, and I know there's some shop jobs in the plaza. Golden Victory is a Host Club so I doubt you'd want something like that...

Y... es, and I doubt many would yield to my way of cooking. [He'd solve the rat problem pretty good, though.]

Craft-building and weaponry are strong candidates, if those are available. Everything I use, I've sodded myself.

[There are... other jobs there, but Rin knows Alister's personality, and returning without memories or not he really can't imagine ladies flocking to his table the way they do to others.]

There's making your own business, too. Fill in something others haven't? That's what Zelos did when he made Golden Victory.

How should I know? If you're not gonna participate in the curse then you're gonna have to find your own entertainment.

We'll see how things go, for the time being. If it comes to it, I can be there for damage control.
