[Hey there Vatheon. Beautiful day isn't it? All seems calm by the plaza fountain... until out pops a blonde-haired boy with pointed ears. He's dressed in a green tunic and matching floppy hat. For all intents and purposes, he looks like Link at 12 years old. The boy wakes up and immediately panics.]

Where am I? Tetra! Tetra, where are you!

[He doesn't seem to realize that the SFC is on. For those in the Plaza, have a frightened 12 year old.]

[Upon hearing Zelda's footsteps, Link turns around to face Zelda]

Tetra? You grew up. [He thinks you're Tetra.]

Tetra...? No, my name is Zelda.

[How odd. All the Links she's met so far have at least known who "Zelda" is! This one's ears look awfully short, too. Perhaps he's from the future, then.]

I thought you didn't like being called Zelda. [He still thinks you're Tetra.]

[Ah, so Tetra must be the Zelda from his time. Was she trying to hide from something? That's the only explanation she can think of.]

This may be a little confusing, but I am not the Zelda that you know. I think that I may be from the past from your perspective... tell me, what was happening before you appeared here?

The past? [That makes Link pause a bit.] I beat Ganon, Hyrule was drowning, but the king managed to save us.

[zelda_hylia]

[Zelda freezes for a moment. So he was from that time. She's never been entirely sure that she could believe Ganondorf's words. He said the king of Hyrule had wished for it to flood. Now there was someone present who could answer that for her.]

I see. Yes, I believe I am from your past. I lived in Hyrule. Ganondorf succeeded in assembling the Triforce, didn't he? Did someone wish on it? If so, could you tell me what they wished for?

[That causes Link's expression to sadden. He really hates having to tell her this.]

Ganon wanted to bring Hyrule to the surface, but the king wished for it to drown. I'm sorry.

[zelda_hylia]

[There's something just a little off in Zelda's smile in response to that.

Ganondorf told her the truth.

Ganondorf had wanted to save Hyrule, and one of her own descendants destroyed it. Oh, she'd believed him when he said it, but she thought he might have put a spin on it somehow. To have Link say it so simply...

Well, Hyrule is going to be an official matriarchy once she returns, let's just put it that way. There won't be a King of Hyrule for a long, long time.]

It's not your fault, don't make such a sad face. You must be getting chilly all wet like that, hmm? Let's get inside and get you dried off. I can answer any questions you might have about this place, too.

[And instanty, the smile returns.]

[Zelda starts to lead him to the welcome center, extending one hand down for him to hold if he wants to. He's young enough that she doesn't think much of it, even if he is Link.]

Don't forget to pick up that blue tunic, all right? It will allow you to breathe underwater. You'll be safest if you keep that with you.

[Link nods and takes the blue tunic, then grabs Zelda's hand and follows behind her.]

[The Welcome Center is fairly simple. She's already got a chamomile blend brewing since the scent is calming. The place is small but clean, with a basic kitchen and bathroom for allowing people to shower off if they want to and a washer and dryer for getting the salt out of their clothes. She has some replacement clothing too, but it's all rather dull so people tend to prefer to get right back into their own clothes as soon as possible.]

Here we are. Go ahead and wash up, we have a change of clothes if you'd like - the tunic should be in your size.

No Biggie!

[Link does what he's told, taking off his clothes and washes up. Thirty minutes later, he comes out wearing the blue tunic.]

[She's got a sandwich and tea set out for him when he's done, as well as the brochure opened up.]

Can you read, Link?

[It's a legitimate question considering her Link couldn't read when he first arrived in Vatheon.]

A little. My grandma taught me. [He picks up the sandwich and starts eating.]

Take a look over that brochure, all right? It provides a good basis for things here. If you have any questions after you've read through it, let me know. For me at least, information is a little easier to absorb when I can read at my own pace.

[Zelda is well aware of her tendency to infodump, so she's going to just let Link read through that first before she even tries.]

[Link takes his time and reads the brochure, but when he reads the part about curses, he sports a puzzled expression.]
