29 - Soya - FORWARD DATED TO THURSDAY AFTERNOON | Video

[ So at around noon, the forest quadrant might feel like there's a complicated knot of magic in it. Its not aimed at anything, and really its just a great concentration of it that shrinks and shrinks and finally gets steady. It doesn't take that long, even.

So its totally fine, right?

The video starts with just a view of disrupted foliage, some of the bubble's brand of sunlight filtering down. There's the hilt of a particularly odd looking sword at a weird angle that catches the light, a weak glow dying out before a black gloved hand fumbles and crosses the screen-

And if you're younger than 13, the video stops there. ]

... Expected expansion, although particular rate was unexpected...

[ Duke's voice sounds a bit odd. Maybe a little dazed? Well, it could explain the trail of red working its way down the edge of Dein Nomos that's on the video. ]

... space between field of dispersion and field of concentration ought to have a way to be more stable, even under conditions...

[ Plip! That lovely mark on the video would be a drop of blood. Is there an uncomfortable whistling noise to Duke's breathing? Maybe. ]

... Barriers produced within field of dispersion are next to useless...

[ There's a few more plips and splats of blood dripping off that sword. Sounds like Duke doesn't realize he's recording to a section of the network, although its good that he managed to fumble a filter away from some, isn't it? ]

Likely should have started with smaller experiment...

(OOC: Putting this up early- this happens on Thursday, and is Duke's somewhat-haitus for the con weekend. I'll be moderately busy on Thursday so getting threads mostly started now! Warning that he's hurt himself fairly badly-)

[None taken. It's technically not healing magecraft to begin with.

Also, there might be a bit of a problem in trying to help Duke... Ilya's definitely too small to support his weight.]

Well, I can't carry you...

[Okay, so maybe it's bigger than just a bit of a problem.]

Um... maybe some of these leaves, is that okay?

[She bends down and starts to gather some of the pieces of shrubbery together. It doesn't look super comfortable given that a considerable portion is made of sticks, though...]

[action] aw frig this went and got lost in my inbox, sorry!

[She looks around. No luck finding a stick. Well, she doesn't want to just leave Duke there, but she definitely can't bear his weight. If only someone else was with her - ]

I'll find somebody! Maybe one of the locals can help.

[And the girl runs off back towards the city, hoping to run into somebody along the way. Those locals are always willing to help, even if their smiles are a little creepy...]
livingvessel: (sooooo what about you?)

[Soon enough, Ilya returns with a couple of the locals behind her.]

He's over here!

[She points to Duke, finding him at a slightly different location from before. Ilya pouts slightly before speaking to him.]

You know, moving yourself when you're still suffering massive internal damage isn't a good idea. But I guess it's up to you.

[The locals then heft up the injured man with a quick 'excuse us!' and a smile, and start carefully walking back towards town. Ilya walks alongside them and hopes that... well, that Duke's okay.]
