09: He wants to talk to people [video]

[At first, his voice sounds very tired, and he looks more drained than usual. Sleep has been playing hard to get for the last few days.]

It's almost April, isn't it? The kids would be starting school soon, back home.

[Even though he's saying that, whatever is weighing so heavily on his mind isn't directly related to school.

But a moment later, his tone lightens a bit, like he thought of something humorous.]

It's a little too quiet around here, with the kids on their camping trip. We should throw a party. Maybe a 'hooray we survived another curse' party.

[Yep she's really pretty! But with how Stein was talking about her, he's sure that Stein at least likes her, so he's going to play nice and not make the usual comments he would.]

Oh? I didn't know those of us who call him a friend were that special.

Then again, it's a vacation. There's no work to get caught up in, so that has to make it easier.

So he buries himself in work back home? I figured as much, he seems like the type.

He really is the perfect workaholic.

You know, when I first moved in with him? I had to buy dishes. At some point he had decided lab equipment could pull double duty.

That just seems hazardous.

[yeah he's glad Stein lives here with a shitload of people to make sure he eats right and doesn't go too crazy.]

Maybe somewhat. I know that I'm certainly happier not making coffee with beakers and bunsen burners at any rate.

And you won't have to worry about that here, Rin keeps on top of that. There will be no kidney dish plates here.

That's always reassuring to hear. Do you think he'll mind a little help around the kitchen?

I don't think he'll mind. In fact, he might like having someone else cooking besides him.
