[Video] Has it been so long?

[ The video feed accidentally clicks on as Sora was looking at his calender on the phone. He's scrolling over it not really paying attention until the date actually catches his attention. His eyes go wide for a moment in surprise and then a soft smile settles on his face. He really should pay more attention to these sort of things, but it's easy to lose track of time in the bubble. ]

Wow, I've been here a year already.

[ Sora laughs lightly. ]

Man, I can't believe I missed my birthday too. That's so lame.

[ Despite the realization Sora doesn't seem too bummed out about it. The past few weeks had been well...interesting to say the least. ]

Chocolate cake, with vanilla frosting. Okay. Keep me updated on the celebration, got it?

Every child deserves a cake for their birthday after all. Even if you're not so little anymore.

[ Sora was about to rebuttal the child comment when Yuri did it herself. He smiled instead. ]

Right! I'll make sure to let you know!

I hope you do!

[ She laughs a little. ]

I'm sorry if I came off as being a bit too forward in this. My boys are about your age, so I just couldn't help myself when you mentioned you had missed your birthday.

You're a mom?

[ Sora stared a bit, though he didn't really mean to. Somehow he didn't think parent's could make it here. He'd certainly never heard of full families being around. ]

Sure am! Is it that surprising?

[ She smiles brightly. Proud mama is proud. ]

No! I mean...

I just didn't know that there were actual families here.

[ It actually reminded Sora of his own mom back home. She must be so worried... ]

Oh. Well ...

It's a little complicated, but yes, we are very fortunate to have our family together here.

[ Especially since she never had the chance to know her boys before now. Being dead wasn't all that great. ]

I take it you don't have your family here?

[ Sora shook his head. ]

No. My mom's back home.

[ He put one of his hands over his arm, rubbing awkwardly at it as he spoke. ]

She hasn't actually seen me in a year. I kind of disappeared and haven't been able to make it home.

Oh, no ... I'm so sorry, dear.

[ She looks sympathetic. ]

I'll bet she misses you terribly ... but she hasn't given up on seeing you again. We mothers tend to be much stronger than we seem.

[ Sora smiled though it was more reserved than it had been before. ]

Yeah...my mom's used to waiting for dad to come home.

[ He rubs his arm a bit awkwardly. ]

[ She can see this, based on her interactions with him before the mom thing was brought up. ]

It's difficult, isn't it? Wanting to see someone, and yet being unable to.

[ Been there, done that. The difference here is that she actually has her chance to see the people she wants to now. Still, she sympathizes. ]

[ Sora nodded. ]

I really miss her sometimes.

[ He meant it too. What boy didn't love their mom? ]

[ Boys who never knew their mom might not love her.

... Yuri offers a warm smile in response, though. ]

She must miss you, too. I think you'll get to see her again, though, and it will be a lovely reunion when you do.

[ Sad thought! ]

Yeah, you're right. [ Sora's face brightness into a smile. ]

So, who are your sons? Maybe I know them?

Rin and Yukio Okumura. Rin at least seems to be pretty well-known around Vatheon, so you may know him.

Hmm...I think I've seen Rin's name around somewhere...

[ Not that Sora can recall right away but it'll come to him. ]
