Whoa, whoa, whoa--!

[Ok, the last time this happened was a very long time ago and omg it's happening again what does he even do with this. Where's Tinkerbell when you need her?

Looks like he'll be flying solo this time. And by flying, we actually do mean flying.

The only reason the communicator is even on right now is because he's dropped it mid flight, but thankfully nothing looks to be damaged. So you should be able to see a blur of black and red fly right past the screen when Axel swoops down to pick the communicator back up and point it towards him. Is that a trail of sparkles following behind him?

... Yeah. But you're probably jealous.]

Well, this isn't all that bad.

[Said as he nearly goes crashing into a tree.]

(( ooc: Thanks to Pan's suggestion, Axel can now fly... but he also cannot lie. TAKE GREAT ADVANTAGE OF THIS WHILE YOU CAN. ))

[He draws back a little bit and pushes up the blindfold so he can get a look at Axel's face.]

[When Roxas peeks at him Axel might look a little... redder. GET A LOOK AT DAT CHEST, MAN.]

So- what is it like?

[Well gosh. Fine then.]

... It's nice.

[HOW ELSE DOES HE DESCRIBE THIS.]

[He smiles.]

I was worried- you really didn't like it at all.

I like it just fine.

[Hrrrr. He's not used to being so open like this.]

But-- You know. Sometimes it just feels weird. Like we shouldn't be doing this 'cause we're... just best friends.

[Roxas hesitates. He's asked Axel about it before, but he could lie then. Is it something he really wants to know? Is it okay for him to ask when Axel can't lie to him even if he wanted to?

But he has a right to know, when it's about the both of them, doesn't he?]

... Is that- all you wanna be?

[Oh Roxas. Come on, Axel. You can do this. But he hesitates, glances off and struggles to speak. He can't lie to him, so not knowing what to say isn't the issue here. It's just-- He doesn't want to say anything.

But eventually, quietly and slightly strained:]

... Yes.

[Roxas finally climbs off of him, pulling the blindfold back down as he moves, and sits beside him on the bed. He can't think of anything to say at first. He just feels... a little empty, all of a sudden.]

You should've- said something.

[Axel stares up at the ceiling for a beat, but then slowly sits up, one leg pulled towards his chest. ... Well, he-- didn't want that to happen at all. Or at least not like this.]

... I didn't know how to say it.

You figured it out easy enough just now.

Roxas...

[He pauses, then after a sigh,]

I'd still want to try, though. ... 'cause you–

[Axel glances off to the wall again. He doesn't want to hurt Roxas anymore.]

–I do care about you, Roxas.

...I know you do. We're best friends.

[What does it mean that Axel still wants to try it? Even though he said it didn't feel right to him...]

I don't- wanna do this if it's pretend. I don't want you to just act like you want it.

[Just because it doesn't feel right now doesn't mean that it can't ever, right? Out of everyone in the dome, Roxas does make Axel feel the most... complete, after all. But as a best friend, or as something more-- He just can't really decide. Not right now.

... So maybe it really would be for the best to just let Roxas decide for himself.]

... I'm sorry.

[That's all he can think of to say.]

[Axel is making it really hard to be angry with him. Roxas sits quietly, trying to sort through what he wants to say.]

You're still figuring stuff out, right? [Maybe eventually...? He doesn't know if that's even likely, or just wishful thinking, now. He believes Axel can feel that way, but... maybe not for him.]

...we probably- should've stuck with "maybe."

[Axel nods at that. He doesn't like admitting it, but it's true. He's been struggling to figure things out for a while.]

... I just wanted you to be happy.

[But in the long run look what it did. Everyone else had been right when he asked what to do about this situation. He shouldn't have waited. He shouldn't have lied.]

If you're mad, I'd understand it.

I am, a little bit.

[Hard to be when Axel's being so... honest.]

I know you lie 'cause you think it'll be better for me, but that's stupid. I can handle things.

... I guess I just didn't think that was the case.

[Not that he's calling Roxas weak.]

I was scared.

[It does kind of sound that way, though.]

Scared?

That you'd get super angry.

...I might still punch you.

[He glances over at him... then shrugs.]

Sure.

[He said "might." It's not happening now anyway.]

I just- don't know why you thought I'd want that.

I'm sorry. Really.

[He just can't think of anything else to say.]

[He's not sure what he expects Axel to say either. He's already said what he needed to and apologized for not saying it sooner. What else is there?]

...I'm going out for a while.
