Seventh Rose: Flower Competition [Backdated to last Sunday]
[The Flower Arrangement Contest has begun! Aya is filming the few contestants they have who are diligently working on an arrangement. Some look relaxed and confident, most look haggard and frustrated because it's harder than it seems! Prizes are on the line, along with Starfish Coins!]
[Aya sets the camera on top of the register, turning it so the lens is now facing him.]
We've officially started our contest, and even those who haven't signed up before today can still walk in and participate. Points will be given on two factors: meaning of arrangement and design. Good luck to anyone who participates. [At the end, he fumbles with getting the communicator to turn off, but manages to do so with some dignity left.]
[The rules are posted in a couple of places inside the flower shop, while a guide on flower arranging is handed out to anyone that wants one:
Rules
1. No magic may be used.
2. Real flowers will only be used.
3. Contestants may bring their own supplies, but will not be able to use their own flowers.
4. There will be a time limit ofone hour two hours. No more, no less.
5. Contestants will work individually.

*She smiles a little sheepishly, not really sure what that means, and turns around to put some of the flowers in the vase*
Keeping busy with the contest, hmm?

A bit, but it'll be interesting to see other flower arrangements. [It's too early to really see how the projects are going, but it's nice to imagine the end result.]

*All said so very awkwardly as she sticks the carnations into the vase. They she figures she needs something else and finally turns to him*
I'll just be so happy to actually see it! I never thought I'd see a flower ever again!
no subject
I'm...glad, that I'll be able to do that for you.
[Aya looks to the flowers in the vase. Something he sees on a daily basis is something that could be taken for granted at anytime.] Does this mean you're going to participate?
no subject
Yup! That's what I'm here for, isn't it? I'm gonna try out what I've learned.
no subject
Don't think I'll go easy on you. [He smirks softly.] I'll have to judge everybody equally.
no subject
Of course! I wouldn't expect it any other way.
*She touches his arm lightly as she moves to get past. Selphie pauses for a moment like she was going to say something else, but doesn't and moves on*
Now I think I'm gonna try something orange...
no subject
Someone is trying to gather up that color, so ou may want to try and get as much as possible.
no subject
You're not giving me extra hints and tips are you? Cause that would totally mean I was cheating, ya know.
*Selphie rushes off to fetch some pretty orange blossoms, and stands holding them awkwardly when she returns. She takes a deep breath, just staring at Aya's feet*
I just wanted to say thank you...again. For looking after me. You saved me from going pretty crazy.
no subject
[He doesn't think he has seen that much orange in one armful before. Her words are nothing new, but he knows that she'll always be thankful.] Maybe you can repay me with another outing where we can eat together.
no subject
Really? You really want to? Of course! A hundred percent! I'd love to!
no subject
Good. [Aya takes up an orange pansie and sticks it into her hair.] Don't crush the competition. [With a kiss to her cheek, Aya walks away, going back to his previous tasks. Which may or may not include working off a blush.]
