So, talking about attractiveness and things like that, I don't get it. It just seems like another excuse to single people out.

Just try ignoring it. As far as I'm concerned, it shouldn't really matter what other people think of you.

Better question is, why do people hold others to standards that ultimately don't mean a damn thing anyway? You can't be so many things at once just to please someone else, it's impossible.
