[So, this week is shaping up to be a barrel of laughs, isn't it? And Axel intends to take full advantage of it.

Never mind that this could come around full circle to bite him in the ass later. With the SFC turned on he shows up, grinning with his head rested in his hand.

Let's play a game. A bonding exercise, if you will. I figure it'll lift everyone's spirits a little.

On a scale from 1 to 10, let's tell each other how attractive we think we are. Then we'll take turns explaining why. Sound good?

[What the hell kind of leak makes creepy noises? Axel, you are the first to die in every horror movie, it's you.]

[But it's okay, the wait makes it all the more sweeter. The strange noises seem to get more persistent.]

[Shut your face; he's the hot dude who everyone falls in love with but then dies just before the movie ends, ok.

Eventually he does end up stepping out of bed to investigate. Man, all he wanted to do was take a nap, is that too much to ask?]

[Whatever helps you sleep at night, man.]

[Except sleeping is obviously not a thing that's happening right now! Because the moment he gets off of the bed and takes a step away from it, long dim purple tentacles shoot out from beneath the bed to latch around his legs. They give a hard tug, obviously meant to bring him down to the floor, and the rest of the beast drags itself out from its hiding spot in a sudden fluid moment. It looks like a writhing mass of tentacles, something that would be normally impossible to fit beneath his bed. There's a gaping maw in the center of it all, wide open to reveal mouth inside mouth inside mouth with all of them very toothy and sharp. The creature snarls and growls.]

[Axel reacts fast, yanking his legs so that when he's on the ground he can twist and position himself properly to attack. There's a fireball in his hand and immediately he hurls it right at the creature's face. Is this some random addition to the curse too?]

What the hell.

[The creature snaps back to try and put some distance between it and the fireball, two of its tentacles coming up. It takes a bit of effort, but it manages to stop the little blazing ball of fire. Then the tentacles start to pull back, the creature gives a little twist-]

[And there's a certain vampire queen floating over his bed, still kind of holding the fireball between her hands.]

Sweet, I didn't know you used fire magic. Guess I shoulda figured it out from your hair.

[Axel keeps on his guard even as the creature releases him and when she suddenly appears he seems confused... then definitely ticked off. Really? Seriously?]

What the heck are you doing?

Scaring you, obviously.

[She vanishes the flame in her hands before making a floaty beeline for his door.]

You got anything red in the fridge?

[WTF are you doing]

N--Ketchup, I think.

[Dammit, he can't lie. Axel sighs, slightly irritated, before he gets up then starts to get back into bed. Man, he just wants a nap. Is that too much to ask? A sleepy Axel is not a very nice one.]
