accidental video | backdate: May 22nd

[Video comes on to a hand smacking the top of the SFC several times, making the feed look distorted given that it keeps making things blur, re-focus, and blur again. Eventually the whole thing goes falling off whatever it's laying on, giving a crooked view of the side of a bed, some blankets, and some one laying on said bed. Only a fluff of blond hair under a thick comforter gives any indication as to who it is.

They move finally, sitting up, blinking very blearily, and staring around until their gaze lands on the SFC.

Ioder picks it up, stares for a long moment before letting out a tremendously exasperated sigh.]

Another coma...

[He's about to ask something to the network, but realizes--

this isn't his house. In fact it's one of the huts on the island, even though the bubble was cracked and fixed during the time he was out.]

... ah-...

Where... am I... ?

Dhaos? Duke... ?

... hello?

[It is, though Ioder is still a bit too groggy to put two and two together.]

Duke mentioned that there was a lot of water damage. But our things are all up here...

Mn... I think I'm too tired to make that decision right now. I'm just happy you're still here.

There is no rush. I am simply glad you are by my side again.

[He punctuates his statement by softly pressing a kiss to Ioder's forehead.]

...I missed you.

[The show of affection doesn't earn quite the blush that it used to, which is a good sign and a step in the right direction for them. His cheeks color slightly, but with it comes a bright, if not somewhat tired smile.]

I'm sure in some way I missed you too, even if I was asleep.

[Although he doesn't say it, it's seeing that little smile again that makes him happiest. He finally feels as if most things in this little corner of the universe are right again. Things had changed again certainly, but his most precious person is awake, there is little reason to worry. Everything else in this moment is secondary.]

Are you hungry? I can help you to the kitchen and make something for you.

Duke gave me something to eat, but I'm sure I could go for more. I'm always ravenous when I wake up from those silly naps.

I could use some tea as well. Or even coffee. Whichever we have.

Very well. Some tea would do us both some good, I think.

[He gets up again, and offers a hand to Ioder.]

I agree completely!

[Cheerful in spite of his lingering tiredness, Ioder smiles and takes Dhaos' hand, giving it a squeeze as he rises.]

Lead the way.

[The walk to the kitchen is fairly short, and filled with a comfortable silence. Dhaos doesn't let go of Ioder's hand until he's gotten the other man to the small table set up off to the side. It's only a few moments later that he has a kettle set to boil and a small selection of teas he'd saved from before the flood.]

Which would you prefer: black or green?

[Ioder uses the short walk to take in the place they've secured on the island. It's not bad. He'll probably miss his house eventually, but he wouldn't be opposed to staying on the island, either.

There were a lot of painful memories down there anyway...]
