[ Upon telling a newcomer that they should introduce themselves to Vatheon on the network, the King of Knights realized she hadn't done that. She often avoids the network, preferring to meet face-to-face.

Now she has a reason to announce her presence. She's on the Defense Force, and would like to at least be recognized on the street when she's doing her duties and as someone who can help. ]

Greetings. I am called Saber, and I have been in Vatheon for a little over a month. I'd like to make it known that I am the Division Leader of the Pirate Quadrant for the Defense Force.

Hopefully, I may be able to meet more of the Defense Force members. And if you are not a member, do feel free to stop me on the streets if you wish to speak or would like help. I will assist you how I can. [ That's kind of limited to activities involving her sword, but regardless.. ]

I look forward to working with those on the Defense Force. [ And Saber's feed cuts off there, but she'll hop on the SFC quickly should someone reply. ]

Oh, wow ... there really is a lot that can be done here, isn't there?

[ She'll read those through later. ]

What kind of things do you guys patrol for? Are there enough people here that crime happens all that often?

I have a feeling it's less to do with crimes and more to do with potential incidents. I have heard of monster attacks in the past, but I have yet to confirm it. The city was also flooded not along ago, and the Defense Force assisted with that.

[ Saber nods once, as she's thinking about it. The knight has been given limited information, so she'd like to acquire more so she can speak confidently. ]

Since I am new, I may not be the best to ask. I hope to learn more myself.

I understand.

[ She nods. That would be an important thing to have a defense force around for, for sure. ]

I guess we're both still learning things about this place, aren't we?

I don't believe we are ever done learning.

[ Saber smiles softly at the video feed, and then continues on. ]

How are you settling in? I assume N has been of immense help to you.

[ She nods. ]

N asked me to live with him and Zoroark, so I moved in the same day I arrived here. I've been doing well, but ...

... Would you be able to help me with something, Ms. Saber?

I will do what I can. What is it, Hilda? [ The knight listens intently. ]

N asked me the other day about hobbies. He said that he was talking with someone else about it, and that maybe it would be a good thing for him to find a hobby so that he will have something to do here in Vatheon.

I asked him what his interests are, and of course he automatically said math.

[ Hilda still thinks she should have expected that. ]

He mentioned a few other things he used to do back home, but I really want to see if maybe we can find him a hobby involving math before I explore any of those for him, since he really likes that. Problem is, math isn't exactly my thing. I have no idea where to begin finding a hobby for him that involves it, unless I like, find a math textbook and have him solve equations from it.

[ Any math textbook she chose would probably be too easy for him, too. ]

Would you happen to have any ideas?

Math.

[ As a king, Saber knows ruling and money math. It's the first thing that comes to mind. ]

Why do you two not run a business? From what I know of you two and what you have just told me, he could busy himself with inventory, money, estimates.. it's a lot of math-related work. And you would be able to deal with people well right on.

[ The knight thinks about it. ] It doesn't have to be a shop. There are quite a few people here with.. Pokémon, and you both are .. Pokémon trainers. [ The terminology is still strange to her. ] You could.. offer to watch peoples' Pokémon for them? And also sell items related to Pokémon on the side?

[ It's maybe not the best idea, but Saber knows it would get them involved with Vatheon and keep them busy. ]

Running something like that together?

[ Oh. Well. Um. That wasn't something she had ever thought about doing before, but it wasn't really a half bad idea? Except ... ]

I don't know the first thing about running a business ...

[ Not that she isn't willing to learn! She's just ... inexperienced in a lot of things. And so is N. Perhaps if the two bumbled about it together they could make one successful business. ]

I guess I could bring it up to N and see what he thinks? It's a good idea.

I think you two could do it. You both have the skills required for running a business if you work together.

[ Saber nods once. ] I know that was likely not what you were expecting, but.. I am one of few hobbies, myself.

Would it be too personal to ask what those few hobbies are?

Swordplay and .. food. [ If Saber was the type to use white lies, she'd say the culinary arts. But, no, she can't cook in the least. She just likes to eat. ] I do have experience in ruling and warfare, but I would not consider those hobbies.

[ Of course, Hilda is going to take that to mean that she cooks. Misunderstandings ahoy? ]

I can't imagine warfare being a hobby at all ... it's almost like how I consider Pokèmon to be a lifestyle, more than a hobby. Though, that's just me. And N, too. Some people might consider training a hobby, but we've been so absorbed in it for so long that doing anything with Pokèmon is a way of life. [ Anybody from their world would agree. ]

You know how to use a sword, then? I'd like to see that sometime.

Aye, I was summoned as Saber for a reason. I can show you if you'd like, but it'd be much more practical in person.

[ Saber tilts her head. Pokémon as a way of life.. ] You and N do sound exceptionally talented with Pokémon. All the reason more to offer your services to others, I think.

We can set something up, then? If you're not busy now, I wouldn't mind meeting up with you for that.

[ She laughs a little, sheepishly. ]

I guess so ... It's still something I'll have to bring up to N.

Hmm.. without someone else to exchange swings with, I am unsure how I would show you. [ Saber raises an armored hand to her chin in thought. ]

I am available regularly, so if you would like, we could meet somewhere of your wishes. You merely need to send me a short message and I will be there.

Okay, that sounds good. Maybe we could find you a swordplay partner?

... If you want, I mean.

[ She's curious to see it, but she doesn't want to force anything. ]

I can always practice by myself. I am just not certain how exciting it would be to watch. [ Saber smiles at the offer, but she doesn't need it. ]
