[When the SFC turns on, the image is at a funny angle, but it clearly shows a soaked red-headed young man leaned up against the fountain. He's dressed in a bright red military outfit with a long yellow scarf around his neck, but it's clear parts are badly singed and even the man himself isn't in the best shape. Part of his arm and one of his knees seems to be torn open, but instead of blood and tissue, there's metal and sparks and some sort of fuel leaking from the wounds.

Still, despite the injuries, the man's spirits don't seem to be damaged. He groans in frustration as he takes in his surroundings.]

Dammit! Now what? Hey, Joe, can you hear me?

[When there's no response, the frustration flashes clear on his face. Jet's eyes take in his new surroundings and eventually find the recording SFC and the brochure nearby. The brochure he decides to set aside for the moment in favor of the weird thing that looked like some sort of technology.]

What the hell is this thing..?

[And then he promptly discovers the off button.]

I believe it's called a communicator. It's very much like a phone, where you can talk to people. In this case, the people who are in the same situation, such as yourself.

[Sola should be worried about the guy's health. He looks to be in pretty bad shape physically but... well, he seems unconcerned. And those are wires. Dirk said robots don't feel pain, right? So... the question he's gotta ask...]

[He holds up the brochure he'd decided to flip through, his tone dry.]

I'm starting to get that a bit. Are you one of those 'same situation' people?

[He should probably be more concerned about the fact his knee's just out in the open like that, but he's tired and he hurts and moving is hard.]

No. Robots are just hunks of metal.

[He sees those ears, dude.]

Do you need help? Though... I know some people who build robots but if you're not a robot I dunno if they can help.

[Well, that wasn't entirely true...the professor was just the only person he trusted not to mess it up.]

Or maybe someone who knows cybernetics, I guess.

I don't know any Professor Gilmore but I do know Dirk and Darkleer and Jade and they all know about science stuff like that. I mean, if cybernetics is science. It sounds like a science word.

I am, of course. But, I believe we arrived from different worlds. At least I believe we did.

[Cause really. Although hearing that the professor wasn't here was both unsurprising and disappointing.]

[He's about to say something rude, but he bites it back.]

Yeah, but my usual 'doctor' doesn't seem to be around, so I guess I'm a little out of luck.

I lived most of my life on Earth, but that's not where I was born.

[He snaps it defensively. It's clearly not the whole truth, but he just looks so adamant. He hates when people judge him on his literal age; a real two (and a half) year old doesn't function on the level he's at and he knows it. Granted a real eighteen year old doesn't either, he's more around fourteen or fifteen, but his body is a copy of an eighteen year old's and that's enough for him to not feel like he's lying. Even if he kind of is.]

I can ask one of my science friends then, if you want. Where are you from?

[Abrupt question, but it doesn't effect who he gets to help. If this guy is from Earth it might be better to get one of the human kids, rather than Darkleer.]

Happy to help. [Sarcasm right back!] I could tell you we're underwater, too.

[And then it's time to be slightly more serious.] Normally advice would be to get the fuck to the clinic, but it doesn't look like you can just slap a bandage on those and be fine in a few days.

[Oh good, someone who will hold their own.] Thanks, I hadn't noticed.

[Still, on the more serious side he smirks and shakes his head.] Yeah, wish it were that easy. That might help with some of it, but not all.

[Certainly not that sparking knee or the deeper wound on his arm.]

Still, sounds like there's not much I can do about it, my 'usual physician' ain't here.

[He doesn't respond to that, he's tempted to say 'yeah right' cause there was no way this kid was almost his age, but it wasn't like he had proof. And, really, he was too tired to argue about something like that, it's not like it was really his business.]

[Oh, right, not from Earth; he probably didn't know what that was.]

Earth.

[Another pause.] 21st century, if that matters at all to you. [He'd done the time travel thing and that got really dicey so maybe it did maybe it didn't, but he might as well cover all the bases.]

Maybe, maybe not. It depends how much you're willing to let strangers poke around in your insides.
