[The scene on the feed encompasses a large meadow, flowers all around and petals wafting gently through the breeze, and in the middle of it all stands a majestic, ruby-red maned unicorn with a long graceful horn that seems to be glowing as she uses her magic to keep the SFC aloft in order to record. Or, y'know, just a pretty, apparently magic horse if your character can't see unicorns. Her voice is low and musical and seems to simply radiate from the SFC speaker without first passing through her mouth.]

Pray tell, has anyone made any progress on this princess rescuing thing? The illusions seem to be gone from the meadow but I dunno about anywhere else and by the looks of things, this curse is going to get worse before it gets better.

[She shakes her head, mane glinting coppery in the sunlight, and stamps a hoof into the ground irritably.]

I mean, I'm using words like "pray tell" and "forsooth". This is ridiculous.

I haven't been paying much attention to all of that rescuing stuff. Have been busy with preparing for some unbirthdays and urges to sing nonsensical children songs.

You too, huh? [Though she can't feel too bad. Feris deserves a slice of humble pie after laughing at Zelos' Valentine's post. Serves you right.]

I'm sure we'll find a way to cure these ailments in due time.

ARGH! What is UP with that flowery speech?!

[Likely any sort of "humbling" will be forgotten after the curse, or during granted he was the Hatter.]

Stuck in some peculiar clothes. My mate has to run around in just a seal skin. And here ya are, straight from some girl's dream. Wondering what sort of theme this bubble has going. [Tips his hat forward.]

Hmm. Either it's waiting it out, or going on some quests. Have ya checked them out yet?

No idea but I'd rather be some other kind of girl's dream, y'know, like usual. Looks like a lot of magical junk going on though so I'm gonna see if I can find a fairy or a mage or something to set me right. Like the original post said, this isn't ending until all the royals are saved, and I don't like my chances for helping or doing quests if I'm still a magic lady pony.

[Considering he's at Zelos's side right now, he's pretty certain the unicorn knows he doesn't know any more than "she" does, so he won't bother answering the question. He gives her a sidelong glance, though.]

You think the curse is going to get worse? What makes you say that?

It's just a feeling. I keep thinking of myself as a she, for starters.

[It's an uncomfortable situation, though feeling feminine is definitely outweighed by feeling like... well, a horse. This just blows.

Maybe she'll be able to find some kind of fairy to fix her later, though. That thought helps.]

[Wait, what? Had he heard what he thought he'd heard?

Zelos, mumbling isn't quite as effective when you communicate with your mind.]

You're thinking of yourself as a girl?

[Equine faces aren't exactly built for grimaces but Zelos manages to get his irritation across all the same.]

This body is female, so the curse is making me think I am and it's completely weird and can we just drop it?!

[It's hard to resist the impulse to laugh, and Lloyd quickly lifts a hand to cover the twitching at the corner of his mouth. But he kind of understands the weird feeling of forgetting yourself. Something feels off with him, too, but every time he tries to examine the thought, the feeling slips away.]

Hey, look on the bright side. It could be me with that curse. Then we'd have to have another fight over whether or not I was your hunny.

[Trying to lighten the mood.]

[Her expression grows even more sour if it were possible.] Not really into ponies, thanks. Can we just get back to town so I can see if there's some kind of magic somethingorother that can at least make me a man again before I start PMSing or something?

[Not that it doesn't sound like she's doing that already.]

[Lloyd wrinkles his nose.]

I didn't mean it like that. I meant- Ugh, nevermind.

[Yeah, he doesn't want to think too much about that, either. Just going to follow his friend back towards town. Lucky for him, Zelos provides a perfect distraction. Or, well, he thinks he's lucky.]

What's "PSMing"?

The one time of month I don't like hunnies.

[And she won't give any more information than that. Not because she's afraid of corrupting Lloyd, but because thinking too much about ladybits at the moment was making her nauseated. She shouldn't have those parts, let alone be physically comfortable at all in this body.

But she is. And it terrifies her. Zelos picks up the pace a bit, wanting to find someone to get this undone as soon as possible.]

Oh, so whenever Sheena's hitting you.

[Who knew there was a word for that? He'll have to ask Sheena what it means next time he sees her. Somehow, he gets the feeling Zelos doesn't want to say anything else.

It's hard to match Zelos's longer stride, but Lloyd does his best to keep up. Teasing aside, he should probably reassure his friend. He can only imagine what it would be like if he was a unicorn right now.]

Don't worry, Zelos. You're still you, no matter what you look like. Unicorn or a guy, you're still my friend. Besides, these curses only last a week, right?

[She slows a bit and glances back at Lloyd. Still his friend no matter what, huh? It's nice, if it's true. Coming from Lloyd it probably is; one of the only two people he can't see tossing him by the wayside if he can no longer make himself useful. Lloyd and Colette... how did he ever get so lucky?

Oh, I'm thinking of myself as a guy again...huh.]

Yeah, it should blow over soon. We should check on Colette though.

[Lloyd's eyes widen.]

You're right. I haven't spoken to her since before any of this happened. Do you think she's okay?

[Dammit, he should have thought to check on her before. He'd just been distracted, what with searching his and Zelos's curses and the search to help the prince and princess in the meadow.]

Probably fine, but I wouldn't be surprised if she's confused. Let's find her, alright? We can split up when we get into town to cover more ground.

[She Damnit, she again... continues to walk, glad to have the conversation successfully diverted from her predicament.]

[Zelos always was pretty good at distracting Lloyd from things.]

I'll check her apartment. Hey, did I tell you? I got a room on the same floor as her! My room's right down the hall!

[He'd been meaning to tell Zelos sooner, but, well, things kept happening and he forgot.]

It's room six.

Great! I'll stop by sometime. Y'know, when I can negotiate stairs again. [Snorts.] Go ahead and check on her, lemme know how she's doing after, but I think I'm gonna head to that castle that sprang up and hopefully find a way to change into a man again, at least. There's all kinds of magic in fairy tales, right?

All right, that sounds like a good plan to me. Let me know if you find something, Zelos. Good luck!

[He reaches up to pat Zelos's neck, as close to a clap on the shoulder as he can get. Then he grins with encouragement before taking off. They both have things to do.]

[Zelos nods, a strange bobbing motion for a horse, and starts plodding back to town. Someone's gonna set this right and she's going to make them.]

[Humming a tune, Tsubaki is leisurely scrolling through the SFC Network. Still feeling a bit overwhelmed by everything that's going on with her memories rapidly going fuzzy and distant on her; but at the very least, doing this has allowed her some answers, without having to engage very many people.

...She stops abruptly, though, seeing this particular feed, and raises an eyebrow.

That voice...

She can't be sure if it's him, but she'll definitely find out.

Also wow; she must be smoking more than usual, if she's starting to think she can speak with horses.]

...If you have learned to speak with your new body, then perhaps you can also do something about these princesses yourself.

[Instead of asking others. But what does she know...]

[Oh geeze, Tsubaki. She'd hoped she could avoid this embarrassment with people she actually knows, but probably should have known that ship had sailed when Lloyd found out.]

I am currently attempting to do so, m'lady. I have enlisted the aide of a young knig-

[She shakes her head vigorously, causing her mane to tumble every which way.]

I mean, my friend is trying to help me get to the bottom of this but I was just trying to compare notes. Looks like a bunch of our memories keep going fuzzy though. Had any problems with that, Tsubaki?

[Shhhh. She hasn't made the connection right away; not with her memories acting up, and certainly not with this horse's voice sounding a little bit more feminine than she'd realized, a moment before. Something is still familiar about it, however—

And she knows her name...]

...No. [She answers hastily; because it feels like she's always been this way. Revenge for...her parents, this favorite tune of hers—

But then she shakes her head, snapping back to her normal self for a moment.] I-I mean, yes... That is, I—I don't completely understand what's happening. Sometimes it feels as if I am drifting in and out of a dream...

[...she puts a hand to her head.]

If there are others in the same predicament, it must be making things quite difficult.

[That, more than anything, keeps Zelos grounded closer to her true identity. She needs to help Tsubaki, help all the girls who are alone and scared...]

It's a curse, hunny. We'll definitely find the way to fix it though, so just hold tight and don't worry too much. Everything will be fine, I promise.

[A promise she's not sure she can keep, but one she'll try her damnedest to regardless.]

[Hunny. That's the only word she needs to hear, really, to confirm things; and though she knows he can't possibly the only one to use the term, she can't help but associate it with him.

She stares, having never experienced one of Vatheon's curses before—but she may have a good idea of what they might be like now.

Still, it couldn't hurt to ask. He seems about as frinedly as she remembers, occasional odd vocabulary aside.]

A curse...you mean to tell me a curse has been put on us?

[Zelos nods, mane flowing around her ears with the motion.] Whoever brought us here does that sometimes, but it'll pass. This one's pretty fun compared to the last one.

[Well, fun for other people maybe, but Zelos can't say she's a fan of being female. Or a unicorn, for that matter. Still, put in perspective, it was a lot better than being unable to censor herself as the last curse had done.]

My advice is to just keep your head down until the situation is rectified, child. We will rescue the lords and ladies yet, fear not.

[Blargh, that flowery speech again...]

[It isn't that fun for her, either to be honest, though her change seems more subtle than most. It's more her mindset: everything seems amplified, all her bitterness, the pain from losing her parents which she thought had healed...]

H-How long will this take to be resolved? I-I'm not sure I can simply do nothing, in the meantime...

That I do not know, but take heart child. There are heroes at work and all will be mended. I must go assist them now. Please, keep thyself from harm, child.

[She looks on Tsubaki with kind eyes. There is no pity there, for unicorns cannot feel pity, but there is sorrow. It's as if she can see the whole of Tsubaki simply by looking and absolves her of all imagined fault.

Zelos turns off the SFC and is gone, after that moment.]

[...Staring at the blank screen for a moment, Tsubaki makes a face, knowing that she could not seen. She doesn't understand why she can't assist these heroes as well, after all...

But no matter. It isn't as if she'll call him back.

She'll simply have to find her own answers again. And, at least, that's something she's used to.]
