Plan 2 → [video]
[ Have one demigoddess daughter of Athena, Vatheon.
She's a little shaken up after her first curse week because she's not one to open up to people too quickly, even at the best of times. Her strategic warrior mind says that is a nono. However, the tell-no-lies curse had quickly put an end to that.
And how. This last week she has given away her demigoddess heritage (another nono), her thoughts on the attractiveness of others (boyfriend equals a nono here too), her night-time activities with said boyfriend (BIG NONO) and what colour panties she is wearing (…does she even have to say it?).
As a result, this post will be short, sharp and to the point. In the name ofscience research. ]
Hey bubble. I notice that the items in Nostalgia Nook actually cost something when everything else round here is free. Even housing and such. Any idea why?
[ She won’t mention the experiments that the scientists are doing on the captives here in her initial post as they are monitoring the network, but she strongly suspects the two topics are linked. She’s keen to talk about them if she gets a more secure line of communication though. ]

Hi Annabeth! I'm Nepeta! I like your name, it's pretty.
no subject
Thank you! Ohh, so you're Nepeta. Karkat mentioned you. Nice to meet you!
no subject
Heehee, yes, yes, that's me! It's very nice to meet you too! You've already spoken to Karkitty as well?
no subject
Karkitty huh? That seems oddly fitting. Yes, he gave me a lec-- told me about troll romance and how it differed from the human ways. It was very interesting.
no subject
And she catches that near slip of the tongue, giggling.] Oh dear, a romance lecture from Karkitty! That must have taken a while. He's very thorough.
no subject
'Thorough' is one word to describe it. I appreciated it though, it was fascinating to hear about your quadrants and how it all worked in with your culture.
no subject
Pfft, yes, he can talk the ear off of anyone, but he's even worse about quadrants. They really are interesting though, aren't they?! If you have more questions about them you can ask me too!
no subject
She laughs when Nepeta mentions how much Karkat talks. ]
It's funny because he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who'd be interested in romance.
Oh that'd be great, thanks! He suggested you might be able to help me with... you know, who's dating who. Not that I want to know the gory details, just how it works now that you're not in your own culture with the possibility of death hanging over you. Do you all still try to keep your quadrants filled?
no subject
That takes care of most her aggression, and the rest of the time she can focus on attaining the ultimate cuteness!]
Oh, I don't know! It's kind of impawsibble to imagine a Karkitty who doesn't love romance and romcoms...
Ooh, okay! Yes, we still try and keep our quadrants filled. Everyone is happier that way! There's just no hurry about it, that's all. But a lot of us have quadrant mates here. I have Equius as a moirail and Tavros as a matesprit, and Equius has Gamzee as a matesprit, and Gamzee has Karkat as a moirail, and Karkat has Eridan as a matesprit...
no subject
Romcoms... do you mean like romantic comedies? [ Karkat just keeps on subverting her expectations of an angry troll ]
Oh, I see! Not having to hurry would definitely make things easier. It's good you can all find stability and happiness here. I'm pretty glad my boyfriend ended up here with me, so. [ More than 'pretty glad'. Annabeth's glad to hear that the trolls experience happiness too. She wasn't sure they did after what Karkat told her about pity. ]
no subject
[She giggles, and then goes Ooh! out loud.] Your boyfriend came here too?! That's great! What's his name? Can I meet him??
no subject
Yeah somehow we both ended up here, which is kind of a miracle. His name is Percy, for Perseus. We're both demigods. [ She says that as if it explains the name. ] And sure you can meet him! He's the type who loves meeting people.
no subject
It happens sometimes, a bunch of people from the same world who know each other all ending up here! And I love meeting people too, in that case we have to meet fur sure!
...I don't know what demigods are, though.
no subject
Oh, a demigod means that we're the offspring of both a god and a mortal parent. We're all half-god, if you like. On Earth, there are lots of different gods from lots of different religions. Percy, Leo and I all have a different godly parent of Greek ancestry. Mine is Athena, the Goddess of wisdom, knowledge, war, battle strategy and crafts.
no subject
[Nepeta does look a tiny bit confused at the explanation. She hasn't exactly had any experience with gods, Earth ones or otherwise.] Athena does sound furry impurressive! But what does it mean for you, being half-god?
no subject
[ She can see that Nepeta's a little confused and she wonders if the trolls worship gods of any kind. ] Well, the gods themselves are immortal and have omnipotent powers, but us demigods are mortal. We inherit some powers from our godly parent. For example, my boyfriend can control water, and breathe underwater too. For me, it means above-average intelligence, resourcefulness and strategic leadership. Nothing too flashy, unless you try to beat me at Chess. [ Grin. ]
no subject
So you're like humans but with super powers! That's so cool!
no subject
Heh, pretty much! They actually call us heroes, both in our mythology and today. Unfortunately 'hero' seems to mean 'dies young while fighting stupid monsters' but there you have it.
no subject
Heroes! That does make it sound exciting. Well, as long as you don't die...
no subject
Doesn't it? I don't plan on dying though. I've got too much to live for. Speaking of, what were you doing before you ended up here?
no subject
Uhm... Dying, actually. Things weren't going very well for us back where we were.
no subject
[ But then her smile change to a look of surprise and sadness. ] Oh I'm sorry! I suppose it's a nice change to be here then. Do you want to talk about it?
no subject
Yes, it's very good to be here instead, with all my friends and the people I care about. But I'm used to the idea that I'm dead back home now, it's okay.
