[ Have one demigoddess daughter of Athena, Vatheon.

She's a little shaken up after her first curse week because she's not one to open up to people too quickly, even at the best of times. Her strategic warrior mind says that is a nono. However, the tell-no-lies curse had quickly put an end to that.

And how. This last week she has given away her demigoddess heritage (another nono), her thoughts on the attractiveness of others (boyfriend equals a nono here too), her night-time activities with said boyfriend (BIG NONO) and what colour panties she is wearing (…does she even have to say it?).

As a result, this post will be short, sharp and to the point. In the name of ~~science~~ research. ]

Hey bubble. I notice that the items in Nostalgia Nook actually cost something when everything else round here is free. Even housing and such. Any idea why?

[ She won’t mention the experiments that the scientists are doing on the captives here in her initial post as they are monitoring the network, but she strongly suspects the two topics are linked. She’s keen to talk about them if she gets a more secure line of communication though. ]

I'm lucky - two of my friends came here with me. Although I do miss my dad.

[ Annabeth wasn't one for sentimental keepsakes but she does miss the photo she used to keep of her dad flying one of his treasured biplanes. Perhaps the Nostalgia Nook could help her get that back. ]

You are very lucky to have friend arrive with you, but I sorry to hear you father wasn't here with you.

[It must be sad missing people you are close to.]

It's alright. I lived without him for six years anyway, I can do it again. And like you say, I'm lucky to have friends here. I wish you had people from your home here too.

That's a long time to be without a father. Unless of course you were old enough to be on your own, then it's understandable.

[She nodded slightly, glancing down.] Yeah, while I do wish for my friends to be here, at the same time I hope not. Because at least then they are as safe there than here.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm glad to have my boyfriend and friend here, especially with what we were going through when we left, but at the same time I wish we were all safe at home too.

Mm, no, I ran away at age seven. It's no big deal though, I turned out alright! [ Only because she has the intelligence and resourcefulness of a demigod, and it's a much bigger deal than she's letting on. But still, she's proud of how she's turned out. ]

Woah, you even have a boyfriend. I'm impressed, you're so lucky.

[She's getting more and more surprised.]

How did you survive at that age?

Oh, yeah. He arrived here with me from home. I don't know if it's impressive but he's alright. Okay more than alright.

[ Actually, she's madly in love and he willingly fell into an abyss with her right before they ended up here, so she's probably being overly casual here. ]

Oh, I just did what I had to. It was either that or stay at home with a stepmother who didn't believe my nightmares were real.

Actually, it probably helps to explain that I'm a demigod - half goddess, half human. So my abilities are higher than that of a normal human's, especially when it comes to battle and survival. Buuuut it also means that I attract monsters and nightmares and at that age I didn't understand what that all meant.

I find that anyone who had someone special is impressive, or lucky.

[Though the mention of the whole demigod thing was not exactly something she was expecting.]

Wait...part goddess and part human? [Head tilt.] I would of never had guessed that.

[ It can sneak up on people unawares that way. ]

Heh, yep. My mother is Athena, goddess of wisdom, knowledge, war, battle strategy and handicrafts. It's a bit of a mouthful but you get used to it.

I just have my friends. They are the most special to me.

[Sadly she's been told she'll probably never find love, but she still looks, even here.]

That is a mouthful. Not sure I'd get use to it though.
